  1. I did mine last week. Absolutely no issues whatsoever, except resetting the time on the clock. However, I did have the car keys in my pocket. I thought I might had to go through resetting the auto windows (had to do this on a Mondeo), but after a day, they corrected themselves.
  2. I've had my 6 speed VRS diesel 15mths now, & its' my 1st. Must say that I'm really impressed with the pick it has when in sports mode. It's just had the clutch adjusted by computer after 44k miles. After a week, it feels even smoother...
  3. Anthracite,.. Definitely understated. I've seen blue, white & red VRS's, but yet to spot another anthracite. Besides, everyone that has been in my car have remarked on what a nice shade of grey it is. Have to clean it every week, though
  4. I've had my VRS for a year now,and only had the light come on twice. Once when the light came on & I didn't know what it was, so I pulled the car over got the manual out, then duly made my way to the next petrol station to check the tyre pressures & reset the sensor. The second cost me £200 quid, when I found "2" screws in the OSR tyre :-O. Personally, I'm glad it's there. I do a lot of motorway driving.
  5. Why don't you have a look at one of these first? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p4634.m570.l1313&_nkw=Skoda+Vrs+key+fob&_sacat=0&_from=R40
  6. Mine was doing the same thing. What was worrying (like some folk here) it would come off whilst driving the car - nothing to do with opening the bonnet when stationary. I was concerned that it would come of & get stuck under the brake pedal. I mentioned this to my local Skoda garage @ it's last service & they fixed it. Personally, I think it's a bit of a design flaw as the plastic clip/spring thing will eventually wear down against the metal spline. :wonder:
  7. @AshGSmith I know this is late in the day, but I've been hunting around on this forum for ages trying to find an answer to this issue. Love the auto lights, but feel like a right pillock driving into the sun with the them on. The DRLs are bright enough during the day, so it's not asking much for the auto lights to work (automatically). It normally happens 1st thing in the morning for me. I notice they will stay on for up to 30mins or when the car gets up to temp. It doesn't make sense 'cos they work fine when in dimlight, bad weather, tunnels, underground car parks, et al... I had the Skoda people look @ it twice, when it went in for a service. But tbh I don't think they had a proper look at it. I have tried searching the web on this topic, but most roads lead str8 back to Briskoda. Has anyone got any recommendations on this. Now that I've found someone else with the same issue, I no longer feel it's an isolated issue.
  8. Been looking @ that myself. SWMBO has cool red ones in her Type R. I had them in my old Mondeo. But , judging from the posts I've read on here, it's not an easy job, unless you're keen. Someone on here had green footwell lights fitted, which looked rather cool... Might have a word with said geezer @Autoleds to see how much it would cost
  9. Hi... I changed all my interior lights to LEDs from http://www.autoledshop.com/ That includes doors, boot, glove compartment & license plate. SWMBO liked it so much I had to do her Type R as well. Looks like daylight in the car when you see it the dark. I'm fortunate that their shop is only 30mins drive so I took the car round & the young bloke there new his stuff & was able to advise as to what was best for the car - this includes any canbus-related questions. It's worth giving them call.
  10. Most modern cameras have a copyright function built into the camera, allowing you to put in such things as name, email address, post code, phone number. It embeds it on the images code, so when you check the properties you will see these details as well as the the camera it was taken with time/date, exposure, etc. I know this works on Nikons & Canons. Use you manual. There will be a section on copyright (or thereabouts)...
