  1. Which dual exit exhaust system did you go for? I've only seen a Milltek system so far.
  2. Thanks for the pointers and good to know not that much is specific to the vRS. Agree about driving the car I'm thinking about buying; already had the dealer trying to get me to drive another cars "as they're pretty much the same". Testing this Sunday and if it's good and can get a good price it'll be mine!
  3. I know there's a similar topic to this already, but I wonder if there are any pointers specific to the vRS? I'm going to look at a 64 plate vRS (diesel) that seems like a reasonable deal this weekend and wondered if there are any specific things to look out for? Jeff
  4. Just running through the Skoda configurator speccing up vRS Estate and an SE L Estate (to "prove" to the wife that the vRS is the logical choice) and noticed that the price for the Columbus Sat Nav unit differs by £550 between the vRS and the SE L? SE L Coumbus Sat Nav = £1000 vRS Columbus Sat Nav = £1550 Am I missing something or does this seem a little underhanded? Jeff
  5. I too had noticed this and wondered if it was a cost saving option (seems like it is?). Haven't had chance to see if it's possible to modify them to be soft close like they are in my 12 year old Golf...
  6. Sorry for dragging up an old thread; thought it would be better than starting another post?! I’m looking for a full set of sun shades/blinds for the Yeti and before I go to the local dealer and present my card and a tub of Vaseline (seriously how can the charge so much for these?!) I thought I’d see if anyone has any experience of using these companies for sun shades? http://www.car-sunshade.co.uk/en/295-skoda-yeti-sun-shade-courtains http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/shop/privacy-shades-skoda-yeti-p-4688.html Thanks Jeffers
  7. So I could just get this kit and not need to get any other parts? Jeff
  8. Another quick question for JCP...once the strut is fitted is it strong enough to open the bonnet slowly and smoothly, and likewise when closing it doesn't just drop suddenly when it reaches a certain point? Jeff
  9. JCP - do you have a link to the item you bought?
  10. Had the Yeti for a little over a week and I'm already thinking of very small minor mods! Having come from a VW Golf R32 I'm used to popping the bonnet open and the gas strut/s lifting and supporting the bonnet. Feels very old fashioned having to support the bonnet while positioning the supporting arm! Anyway, has anyone thought about fitting a gas strut or two? I've found one here - http://milotec.de/index.php?cat=c352_Exterior-equipment.html&XTCsid=365dd578cd5900ee54cec689c754388c - but has anyone has bought from these folk before, or have you come up with your own ingenious idea? Jeff
  11. Thanks Merlinman, really appreciate it. Now to get those parts and to find me a VCDS cable. Jeff
  12. Hi All, New yeti owner here and have been reading through this post with interest! The AUX port works well enough but I would prefer to be able to select tracks on the iPod from the headunit. Does anyone have a definitive and up-to-date list of parts need to retrofit the MDI "option" into the Yeti? So far I have the MDI cable itself - part number 5N0035342C Kufatec Cable - need a link to this please Is there anything else needed? Thanks Jeff
