  1. I was indoctrinated from an early age, a product of my C of E education I suppose. It was only when I got a bit older and able to think for myself that I got over it. I really don't have a problem with anyone else holding religious beliefs, I do have a problem when those beliefs are considered more important and given more respect than my non-religious beliefs...
  2. My Carbonio was supplied and fitted by Awesome GTI and they did a cracking job. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.
  3. "Animal Kwackers" - Bungo, Rory, Twang & Boots If you do remember it, I guarantee the tune will be going round and round in your head for the rest of the day. Or am I just showing my age? Grape Ape Secret Squirrel Undercover Elephant I remember being scared witless by an episode of Dramarama too.
  4. I have a Skoda branded MFD-G in my 52 plate Octy vRS and it works great. Apparently it came from a Superb - according to the ebay seller I got it from.
  5. Apolgies in advance but I couldn't resist... What do you call a deer with no eyes? No idea What do you call a deer with no eyes and no legs? Still no idea
  6. The difference between -RW and +RW is that the -RW needs to wiped/formatted before you record to it again. +RW will let you record something and then tack something else onto the end of the disk at a later date. To be honest with the media so cheap these days I'd just stick with -Rs and treat them as disposable. I know, it's so eco-unfriendly I should be burnt at the stake - but think what *that* would do for your 'carbon footprint'....
  7. Sarah is absolutely right (as usual). Carbonio's are all about the sound. Had mine fitted at Awesome last year and I love it. It's very hard for me to be objective about whether it makes the car any faster or more responsive because I had a remap done at the same time (one of those evil trial ones that made me *NEED* a permanent one a month later). It definitely sounds faster and more responsive Get one, you won't regret it.
  8. That's an easy one answer. There wasn't a 'before the big bang'. All time is relative, it has to be or you can't measure it. We measure it by how long it takes the planet to revolve around the sun. Time starts with the big bang, before the big bang there was no point of reference and therefore no time.
  9. The new Miss World is Czech I believe, must be a few pictures floating on the net.
  10. "This studio looks quite realistic" "Wouldn't it be good if we could do this for real"
  11. I got my cruise fitted at Awesome GTI mostly because you can use it to do clever things with their APR remaps. That said, I love it for motorway driving, it also helps prevent the dreaded 'speed creep'. You know how you are just driving along 'keeping up with the traffic' when you glance down and realise just how fast 'the traffic' is going...
  12. An aged Hillman Imp in grasshopper green. One of the first cars to have synchro-mesh on first gear... It had a nasty manual choke and took some real heel/toe magic to keep it going on a winter morning. Let me down more often than not and got through water pumps faster than the 4 star I had to feed it on. But I loved it dearly.
  13. There is also inde-tech - Home Page in Milton Keynes. They really know their stuff and reasonable prices too.
  14. And very very good beer  and lasik eye surgery (but that may have just been the beer). Actually it's not just a cheap grille, it's cheap lots of Milotec bits. Now I am a bit worried that I may have 'chavved my ride'. I'm coming to see you on the 3rd for my remap :orb_rocki so perhaps you can let me know if I've overdone it then. Enjoy your holiday!
  15. I picked up a Milotec grill for my Octy vRS whilst I was in the Czech Rep last week and I think it looks great. You can find an online version of the Milotec catalogue here: Road and Sport Developments Grilles and Bumpers But the prices seem a bit steep. Have a look at the pretty pictures at RDS Cars and then order it from Butts as they seem a bit cheaper - Sarah knows best (as usual). Wow looking at those prices, I just realised how cheap mine was!
