  1. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this car I'd be very interested in buying it back
  2. new turbo is on, door cards are off ready to be painted.............................
  3. yes it went on ebay, only made £1800! turned down 2 offers of £2250 last month lol. nevermind, the guy who bought it was a ****tard and didnt make any contact anyway so its going back on with some better pictures and a fresh valet. still in 2 minds whether or not to keep it but ive just bought a t4 as my new project so really this one needs to go :( might return it to standard and sell all the mods, probably the best way to recoup money
  4. blue smoke under acceleration, then on further investigation there was quite a bit of oil in the intercooler pipes
  5. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TIMING-CAM-BELT-KIT-WATER-PUMP-SKODA-OCTAVIA-Combi-RS-1-8-T-AUQ-Engine-Code-/171175074600?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AOctavia%7CCars+Type%3ARS+1.8+T&hash=item27dad45b28
  6. hmmm..... thats quite cheap, whats your number mate im tempted to have this off you for spares and strip the rest
  7. well after the mot revealed the need for a new turbo, ive decided to keep it for a while and throw a load more money at it. so, new 'parts required' list is as follows: k03s in good condition cat back exhaust arbs black s3 interior black door cards decent sound system. car is booked in next thursday for the turbo to be fitted and the trailing arm bushes to be replaced, just need to find a good turbo before then Going to refurb the wheels, and going to paint the faces, but undecided on the colour, anyone good on photoshop??
  8. yea its ebay fly-eye kit, about a tenner
  9. Ive got a modified crash bar going spare if u do the fmic. Dont want anything for it its been in my garden collecting dust
  10. Ah right i dont want to be doing that. Il take it to bits and see what i can do with it
  11. yea its quite an easy job to be fair, first (rushed) attempt didnt go so well, but second attempt i am happy with. I just followed a guide on here (bowders i think)
  12. just painted it with plastic filler primer, then halfords rattle can, then wheel laquer (lots). Its possible that it will crack if i have to remove the bumper again but hopefully i wont need to and it was fine when i was wobbling it around puting it back on the car. chrisphebe im surprised with tiv being so small- i live down westexe near the esso garage
  13. They are 18x8 Nuovolari reps, et35. Il try taking the arch liners out completely never had them off so dont know what theyre protecting. Im getting a grinding/rubbing from the front end now aswell but only on full lock fml
  14. ive got 18'' alloys with 225/40/18 tyres and ive got pro sport coilovers which are at their highest setting on the rear, but now they have settled a little bit and the tyres are rubbing on the arch liner when ive got people in the back. whats the best way around this? can i trim the arch liner back? arches dont need rolling as they seem to have plenty of clearance, and ideally i dont want narrower tyres but if thats the only option its not the end of the world i suppose. its settled about 10mm since the picture.
  15. finally got round to sorting out the front end, re-did the bumper, sprayed the bump strip, re-sprayed the grille and put fly eye film on the lights. Quite happy with the results
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/32cm-x-100cm-Red-Headlight-Tinting-Perforated-Mesh-Film-Fly-Eye-MOT-Legal-Tint-/261258143345?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cd432e671 think it will look weird though tbh
  17. wouldnt have thought there should be any difference in the sound tbh
  18. No mate that ones good, see what happens after a couple track days
  19. The guy i sold it to bought a new car, so i bought it back off him. Dont really need it tbh but couldnt resist
  20. .......................and its back, and in need of a clean
  21. and its gone, time to look for a replacement...........
