  1. Resurrecting this in the hope that we may be able to activate as some have now on the Kodiak. Requesting anyone with VCDS and a TDI DSG Scout WITH off road mode only (so i can make the direct comparison) to send me the long coding of their 19 CAN Gateway and 03 ABS. From here i'm hoping i might be able to crack this. All this time I've been looking in 09 Central Electrics, but i think it may be in the Gateway...
  2. Actually, yes i do. An Elddis xplore caravan. 1340kg total weight, at least once per month. But i use a Scout 2.0 TDI DSG with the wet clutch gearbox. A lot of clutch slippage when taking off is required and the wet clutches handle that much better. Thats the opinion of mechanical engineers i spoke to before purchase. So a view from those that have some understanding i guess.
  3. The 1.4 tsi has the dry clutch gearbox. Not great to tow with one.
  4. Jono and Trundle, you guys are going above and beyond, thank you so much. The closest i have been able to hopefully look at in a few weeks is a new Passat Alltrack. Much easier if its a Scout.
  5. Hi All, For those waiting, i still havent been able to get someone with a similar car but with off road mode to send me an autoscan and adaptation channel map for me. So no real news. If you know anyone with VCDS and a 135kw (180hp) DSG Scout MY2016 who has VCDS, please point them in this direction!
  6. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/222203174965?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT These are the ones i used. Yes, a little manipulation, but no cutting, and they bed into position.
  7. My C5 Audi Allroad 2.5TDI used to get up to 125 when under a huge load, and that was a lazy de-rated engine. My 135 TDI Scout (184 for you HP people) runs at about 100 no load, with load 110 on the flat and 125 up hills. My 125 TDI passat (170HP) is about 5 less, but it isnt all wheel drive. I've got comfortable with it up to those temps, beyond 125 i slow down. As stated, its one of the highest spec oils for our cars.
  8. Trundle, as ever you are a gentleman! We thank you...
  9. OK all, just an update on this as i am a little stuck. Some of the controlling of the driving profile (modes) are in the CAN controller, rather than the CENTRAL ELECTRICS. if anyone can help, i need someone with offroad mode to send me the long coding for the CAN controller. Specifically from the bytes where the driving profile appear (i think its byte 11??). Apologies this is taking so long, i dont have a car with offroad mode accessible.
  10. Ok Trundle, really appreciate helping out so far, thank you! Unfortunately though I need someone with dsg and a 184hp engine. There are just too many coding differences between the 150hp and manual in the ABS module. I also need the coding for the dsg and the engine of a 184 with off-road mode.

  12. In order for me to find out where in the coding of the ABS/ESP the driving profile for off road mode can be enabled, i really need someone with a 135KW/184HP Scout with DSG to give me your 03-ABS long coding.
  13. You're a gentleman! I have some study to do on the info and comparisons. This will take me a few days to go through. Hopefully i will figure it out soon! Thank you once again!
  14. Hi Trundle, If you're sure you know what you've got yourself in for here! Although if you do, we appreciate it! OK, here goes... We need the adaptation maps for all modules mentioned below, however we also need the long coding for some of the following (which i've added); 01-Engine, 03-ABS (require long coding), 09-Central Electrics (Require long coding, in particular if you can check byte 15 and report specifically on this one as well), 44-Steering Assist (require long coding particularly byte 0), 5F-Information Electr (long coding as well). For the long coding you can either type it out or just take a screen shot i guess(?). For the specific bytes mentioned, just type the two letter/numbers would be great. Good luck! 09 and 5F will take a LONG time! THANK YOU GOOD SIR!! FYI on how to capture an adaptation map. If you can do it in the .csv file please. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/index.php?act=findpost&pid=3916936
  15. Fitted to my Scout myself. Easy, except in Australia our cars come with the wiring to the rear pre installed. Not sure if they do the same for you guys in the UK?
  16. Ok thats great trundle, once you have the car (and you're going to love it!) and had a play yourself, I shall post what we need to look at. Basically, it'll be 09 Central Electrics, 03 ABS and possibly the infotainment.
  17. Hi people, I have no update, no just a reminder, if anyone has a MY16 Scout with offroad mode and has VCDS, would you be able to send a scan of both the coding and adaptation channels for the central electrics, ABS, AWD, DSG (if its an auto), engine and for the MIB2. It would be greatly appreciated by a few of us on here if i can figure out the differences! Thanks in advance!!
  18. I fitted mine myself and coded trailer electrics with VCDS. Dead easy to fit. Less than 3 hours taking extreme care. The electrics ECU you can buy from Westfalia as it is the genuine VW Group item.
  19. I fitted one to mine myself. If you get the westfalia, no cutting required so long as you get the detatchable. I didnt, but all i had to cut was one small section unnoticeable. In Australia all our Scouts come with towbar prep though.
  20. when ive had lane assist on and some cars or trucks next to me have wondered into my lane next to me, the proximity alarms go off on the colour maxidot in the display. Happens even if im doing highway speeds.
  21. Sadly, we both dont have the mode. We need a member who has a Scout with off road mode to send us the 09 Central electric, 5F info, and 03 ABS adaptations maps. If anyone wants to help.
  22. I have had my TDI DSG MY16 Scout for just over 6 weeks now. Even more in love than the first day... Yep, i think its the real thing this time!
  23. My Octavia Scout TDI DSG is my first Skoda. But owned lots of VW Group products. This is in my top 3.
