  1. reduced to £2,650 without the spare alloys. Cheers.
  2. OK, got my V5 back from the DVLA today (they lost my cheque so it took longer than expected!). The car is back on the original plates - SJ05NWT and ready to rock. I have reduced the price to £2,800 as it stands, firm as I think this is fair given the condition (good & bad) into account. Cheers.
  3. Purchased a new battery on Saturday morning, solved issues in that area. Currently waiting on DVLA returning docs so I can remove private plate. Talking with VW Tech about getting some other issues resolved. Took the opportunity to give her a clean inside and out at the weekend and take some photos - shows up the 2 dents on drivers side. You can see the dents in this one... I also looked out the Service History: 21/09/05 - 10,000 mls 27/06/06 - 20,257 mls 10/01/08 - 43,329 mls 06/11/08 - 55,651 mls (inc timing belt change) 12/08/10 - 65,189 mls 10/11/11 - 72,945 mls 15/09/12 - 81,880 mls currently sitting just over 86k.

    Fabia vRS

Pics of my wee Fabia vRS
  5. Nathyp already been in touch about it as well. Not looking to split anything off at the moment - not saying never, but just not yet.
  6. As discussed in the Fabia 1 section, I am looking to shift my wee Fabia as it's just not getting used any more - I either bus or cycle to work. I have had the car 3 years and have always spent money on it whenever required, the spec is as follows: 2005, 05 Reg 86,000 miles (might go up slightly) Black Magic Taxed until end July 2014 Motd until 18th July 2014 4 good Uniroyal Rainsports 2 New discs and pads all round last year New rear shocks last year New radiator last year Modifications are as follows: BMW Red Leather interior retrim Currently running on 4 VAG 7.5" steel rims (original alloys available for extra £ as well) Colour coded front grille Tinted windows F&R Wishbone bushes replaced with Powerflex poly bushes Mufflerectomy (stainless with twin outlet) Elegance parcel shelf (cargo net underneath) Boot liner Pastyboy retro badges Polo rear wiper In-dash cup holder Connects2 ipod lead in glovebox Audi springs fitted to handbrake lever OEM Skoda roof rack Detachable swan neck tow bar & electrics Now for the not so good bits: There are 2 dents, one in drivers door and one in rear passenger door where some numpty either kicked or put their knee into it. The dents are both around the size of a Galaxy S4 - I have been quoted £220 to get repaired The engine management light is on - code read points towards coolant sensor which I have replaced with OEM VAG one but light came back - think this could be a wiring issue but car runs fine as it is - have another sensor bought from Darkside Developments Update: Had this looked at by a VAG mechanic - he thinks running a new wire from the ECU to the sensor would be easiest fix. Aircon needs a regas NSR brake squeaks - think possibly sticky piston due to lack of use Update: Seems to be getting better the more I drive it! Battery (new last year!) keeps going flat - it went flat just as I moved into a new house in May and I left it for 4 weeks, I think this killed the battery - looking to source a new one. New battery purchased on Saturday (Bosch S4) with 4 year warranty - solved this issue. As it stands, I would take £3,000 £2,650 (without spare alloys) to take it away, if I get everything repaired then the price will rise accordingly to recoup my spend. Car is now back on it's original plate of SJ05NWT and I received the V5 back from DVLA (they lost my cheque so it took longer than expected!!). I have attached some pictures so you can see she really is a smart looking wee car, even with her faults and for a few quid she will be running great again. She used to belong to another Briskoda member 2 owners before me so she has been well cared for throughout her life. Cheers, Steven If you would like any further info, please just give me a shout. Either PM or email stevenatstevenhedleydotcodotuk Car is located just south of Edinburgh
  7. I am looking into getting things sorted, but in the short term, Ii'll stick it up for £3k firm as is and see what happens - you never know
  8. OK, I am looking to shift my Fabia on as I simply don't use it at the moment. I either cycle or bus to work and the wee thing just sits on the drive looking sorry for itself. It also has a couple of jobs needing done which I simply don't have the time to do. During the 3 years i've had it, I have spent a bit of money on it and I believe it is still a cracking wee car. It's an '05 reg and has just turned over 86k miles. I have just stuck another 12 months tax on it and it's MOTed for 11 months. Passed no probs (1 indicator bulb). Since i've had it, she's had new radiator, new rear shockies, new battery, 4 new Rainsport 2's. Mods: BMW red leather interior retrim, tints, mufflerectomy, f&r wishbone bushes replaced with Powerflex poly, in dash cup holder, polo rear wiper, elegance parcel shelf (with net underneath), Connects2 ipod cable in glove box, colour coded grille, pastyboy retro badges. It is currently running on genuine 7.5 wide steels in great condition, and comes with the original alloys as well. Now the not so good bits: engine light on - code read points to coolant sensor - I have a spare one, i've already replaced before but light stays on - car runs fine so I just put up with it! aircon doesn't work - regas? never bothered with it, just open a window n/s/r brake squeaks when hot - I think a sticky calliper piston - due to lack of use - hopefully a quick grease up to fix battery keeps going flat - I think i've gone and killed my new battery as I left it flat for around 4 weeks whilst messing around with an Amazon seller for a battery charger - ended up going to Halfrauds! 2 dents on drivers side - some cretin decided to kick/knee the doors when it was parked up - been quoted £220 to get repaired It also has an OEM skoda roofrack and swan neck removable towbar (I know all about type approval!). So - what do you think? Before I looked on here, I scanned Autotrader and thought between £3,500 - £3,750 as is but some of the cars on here are a bit low price-wise - have they taken a tumble? Any opinions much appreciated guys.
  9. The turbo generally creates sufficient back pressure itself IIRC
  10. sounds nice, although with the duesel lump and wind noise from the roofbars im sure other folk can hear it better than me!
  11. I've been struggling for time with working in Glasgow recently, but my contract finished on Wed and my next one starts on Monday in Edinburgh so I had a couple of days to spare. I decided to use the time to go to Stainless Creations in Falkirk to get mu mufflerectomy done and so glad I did. I decided on a twin outlet tailpipe, with a slight stagger to ft the line of the bumper. There's a nice wee rumble but nothing too severe, but it's the look I like most. Admittedly the car could have been cleaner but the weather has been minging recently! Hope you like, cheers.
