  1. is there ans english spell checker? the american one is rubbish.i know how to spell colour thank you very much
  2. they use 312mm same as octy vrs and others.
  3. mixed feelings about the new motor.two completely different cars/engines/levels of comfort. no where near as exciting as the vrs to drive briskly, but you can sit back and drive over the peaks in this toledo with little effort. discovered the cruise control button on the way home,so on one of the rare occasions that the M6 is clear i sat back and let the car do its thing.did most of the M54 on cruise control, which got boring. do i miss the octy? not that particular one no,problematic from the off,if i had had a more reliable one as most of you seem to have, then maybe it would still be on my drive. cost of running will drastically be reduced(so long as i stay away from toy shops) tyres are 35 quid a corner group 6 insurance 53 mpg average cheaper road tax and the one thing that the SEAT has hands down on the vrs is interior feel and quality of trim,no rattles no squeaks comfortable seats and the quality of the ICE is tens times better than the standard octy stuff, and a climate control lcd screen you can actually see but its still a slow *** oil burner :(
  4. i wonder what chuck norris makes of all this?
  5. mine went a month back.70+ k miles,and not on factory dampers.(koni fsd)
  6. touching wood for you mate that just sounds wrong
  7. they have airbags too, will they need disabling?
  8. the time has come for the vrs to go.sadly its been long over due, with so much going wrong on it.I've loved driving it,but i just knew it wouldn't be too long before something else went wrong with it:( in the near 4 years i have owned it it has never passed an MOT first go,and usually its cost me 200+ to get it through on a retest.infact last time cost me in eccess of 500 for a new steering rack. most everyone i have spoken to about theres have nothing but praise for the mk1 octy vrs.it seems i bought a wrong un,luck of the draw i guess or lack . so what i am moving onto?going back to SEAT,in the guise of a mk2 toledo tdi se(ok ok i know its virtually Octavia underneath).i just hope i have better luck with this car. and if it wasn't for the advice i have received on here over the years, the vrs would have cost me a darn sight more.you know who you are, thank you:thumbup:
  9. just watched it on bbc iplayer(which is also cool)i thought it was good.did anyone spot gene hunt moonwalking when he was getting shot at?
  10. mine has taken on the characteristics of a stop watch. on a 150 mile run today it was going from anything,13-14 then would go right up to 70 -80.then for no reason at all just zero's itself. all this whilst sat at a steady motorway run.tick over has gone all to **** now too.possible MAF on its way out? not to mention my failed coil pack today :(
  11. mine was caused by the one under the dash. Fordfan was very helpful when mine was playing up
  12. is that a logistics corp badge on the wall?
  13. tried it on mine, doesn't get the really ground in crud out AT ALL.and the rest just washes off anyhoo
