  1. If these don't go I will take em if they will fit a fabia Vrs.
  2. I did not renew my insurance with Brentacre....£113.00 cheaper with Chris Knott insurance
  3. Hi guys, The rear bushes have yet again packed up on my Fabia Vrs. Just been talking to an independant repairer and he states that Skoda have now an improved version out. Is this true? I really need to get a good quality set since I get through them like toffee since I got the remap. If he is talking Horlicks then which ones would you recommend (polybushes etc.) ? Unfortunately I am gonna need them quick since I will be doing loads of driving around on my Hols. Any help appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi guys, My Fab Vrs is handling real badly. Going round corners is scary, the back of the car is all over the place. The car has a remap and I think that some polybushes may be in order. Do you think this may cure it? Also where is the best place to get these polybushes or is there a better alternative. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. Dunno if you guys are bikers but first rule of thumb of cleaning a bike when there is salt on the road is don't use hot water and wait til the bike is cold. Hot water dilutes the salt even more so can get into every knook and krany. Just my 2euro worth.
  6. Who cares read the post, he is happy!!
  7. It seems there are a lot of people with a voice unhappy with this company, but must say pat on the back for them to reply to your not so happy posts, well done on that part at least.
  8. Jeesus there is a lot happening when you post!!!!
  9. I have the conti's sport contact 2's on mine and the front are nearly at the limit after 12 months...???
  10. For some reason my Vrs smokes more now with a pd160?
  11. Well it's that time to get the Vrs furby a good service. For those that remember I had the car for two days and the Turbo blew, new Turbo and intercooler and 12 months since it has not missed a beat even with the Angel Tuning remap. So I am gonna take her in for a full service. Is there anything else I could ask them to clean/check when the car is in for its service? I am not mechanically minded at all but for those in the know is there something else that should be checked so I can ask them to have a looksy that isn't on the usual service and you wish it was? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
  12. I am sorry to hijack this thread but there seems to be quite a few tyre threads on at the moment. I have conti 2's on and I really don't like them. The fronts are nearly on the indicators and I want to change tyre brand. The rears have loads of tread left so is there any harm in popping on two new different makes of tyres on the front?
  13. Good and now buy her a bunch of flowers as she must be fretting
  14. Don't buy her a xmas present this year Sorry could not resist. AFAIK since your good ol mum found out earlier enough and did not start it when she popped petrol in it I think it will be fine now, just as long as she is telling the truth lol. TBH this happens all the time and a mate who has a VRS had the same thing happen to him but this time it was his son. He did start it and cost approx 3-400 quid to rectify and has had no problems since. Hope this helps you and your poor mum
  15. Check the obvious first and work your way back, TYRE PRESSURE?
  16. Seconded. Sounds like nothing is wrong with it.
  17. I have to reply to your post as I was in exactly the same situation as yours. I did not like the car to drive at all, it was jerky, did not feel that powerful but really enjoyed the seating position and the overall looks of it. I was even thinking about the new Punto and Sharkrider (I think was his name) had many a PM from me asking how he liked his car. However another member had his car remapped and was well chuffed with it, so many PM's later I decided to bite the bullet and what a difference it made. I went with Angel Tuning and the car has never been happier. Smooth as hell, no jerkyness and loads of power. You get a discount if you work for the armed services, ambulance or police and they come to your door. If it was not for Angel Tuning I would have lost a great deal of money and would have lost a good car, get it remapped mate, you won't be sorry and you will never think of another car again.
  18. The biggest surprise was JT... I was impressed for a newbie.
  19. Whatever you guys think of him (I really don't like him) he truly deserved to win this race, he is the fastest person I have ever known around a corner and he don't bottle it when he runs to hard. I for one tip my hat off to someone that rides like he did today. Give the bloke a pat on the back when he deserves it. (not a Rossi fan....did I just say that?)
  20. Just got back from the motogp with 9 other bikes and it was a blast. My first motogp and I don't think I will go to one again as there is not a lot to see with our basic 56 Euro tickets but the crack with the lads and riding there and back was great. Did a bit of touring around whilst there and visited a few world war 1 cemeteries to pay our respects. Whilst not a huge Rossi fan I must say he had a cracking race and to see those guys in the flesh for a few seconds at a time really does show how fast they can truly go.
  21. Funny enough I did my car on Saturday and Sunday and got the sore neck to prove it. I borrowed my mates porter cable and decided to give it a go less the orange cutting pad. In a way not having the cutting pad could be strewn as a god send as no nasty burn marks appeared on my first attempt or holograms. The best results by far are the rear sides, the worst with 60 - 70% correction was the tank top (its like tin foil ffs). My advice is to buy either a megs or porter cable and give it a go yourself, you will save a lot of money but you will be hard pressed to get a finish like these professionals that do it day in day out and know what to do with less effort. If you have the money then go for it and if not try it yourself if you like the self satisfaction on getting the end result. On another note, sorry to hijack this thread but have you notice how much "orange peel" paint there is on the sides of Vrs's.
  22. I use AG Motorcycle Cleaner, brilliant to use on my Vrs alloys, just spray directly onto a brush and it lasts for ages.
  23. Anyone else going to the motogp at le mans?
