  1. I have done 10000 miles now and never used a drop of oil, as for mod's, well i'm getting on in life now and the thousands ive spent over the years on scoobys/nissans/mazdas/bmw/honda/toyota etc etc has had to stop. Its quick enough and has good mpg so i just drive it and enjoy it. Keep er lit
  2. As for the pulling to the left I have a few posts on here about the problem. I went through the whole saga with Skoda with my VRS and eventualy ended up with I think 4 wheel allignments with one being carried out by Audi, then I got 4 new Pirelli P-Zero fitted. The pull was reduced at town speeds but not much different at motorway speeds ie. I have to keep pressure on the steering wheel to stay in a straight line. I put this down to big wheels, low profile tyres and the camber of the road,I have learnt to put up with it as there is nothing more Skoda are going to do about it. Recently spent 2 weeks on holiday to the Moto GP in Silverstone and then into France and around the Somme area. The whole way to silverstone the car had its usual left pull, but low and behold once I got of the boat in France and drove on the right the car could be driven at 70-80 mph with no hands on the wheel, with the camber running to the right the car drove as straight as a die hmmmm interesting no pull whatsoever
  3. mine has just been fitted with a set of Pirelli P-zero fitted, 800 miles done so far and cant complain
  4. Cheers Tony The wife is bringing it over to the dealer on friday and yes they did mention something about spraying something somewere, according to the wife
  5. Cheers George I think i will let Skoda deal with it, I'm sure they will be over the moon to see me again
  6. New problem 800 miles on the vRS now and after getting the left pull sorted the rear end now sounds like you have sat on an old creaky bed when you go over a speed bump or a bump in the road Anyone had this problem or know what it is before another trip to the dealer Sounds like bushes to me although when i open the boot and sit and bounce the car up and down i cant hear a thing Pete
  7. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/291863-pulling-to-one-side/page-4#entry3526147 here's mine
  8. or buy one of these, i did http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAVY-DUTY-WATER-RESISTANT-CAR-BOOT-LINER-LIP-PROTECTOR-DIRT-PET-DOG-COVER-MAT-/301028685345?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda%7CModel%3AFabia&hash=item4616b53621
  9. I have a GSD and he is more than happy in the hatch
  10. Pirelli's will sort the problem, like night and day
  11. As far as i am aware the problem is with the Dunlop tyres fitted to the 17" Gigaro alloys on vRS and Monte Carlo models , so if you have these fitted then you will more than likely experience the pulling to the left, has your car felt like this from new? I doubt Skoda would change the tyres with 31k on them. I would get in touch with your dealer and get the car looked at under warranty. Mine felt exactly the same as yours, read through this thread and others to get a proper idea of whats going on and what other's are doing about it
  12. Got the car back today and as if by magic it drives straight, so the problem was indeed the Dunlop tyres, Skoda fitted 4 Pirelli P Zero Nero and the car feels perfect, and a big thanks to the service department in Mervyn Stewart who fitted the unfitable mudflaps !! Thanks guys
  13. Its very unlikely we will do more than 30k as i use my bike for work and the wife works 4 miles from home, i will have a look at the accessories catalogue, i think i will ask for mudflaps as i was told they cannot be fitted to a vRS and have since found out from this forum that they can cheers
  14. I asked for needle sweep and got it, so they are telling lies lies lies again, and if it comes with Dunlop sport maxx tyres then prepare to start a warranty claim, see 'pulling to the left' thread
  15. I was thinking that myself, what sort of thing do you think i should ask for? my servicing is already free and i have a 3 year warranty, and im unlikely to keep the car after 3 years anyway
  16. My dealer is just of the phone and the car is going to AUDI to have a full wheel alignment and diagnostic carried out again!!, of course this cant happen to Monday, then the report need's sent to Skoda UK, then they decide if it get's new tyres or not!! I have to admit my dealer has been great on this matter and has said they will endeavour to get Pirelli tyres fitted and they are certain Skoda UK will agree this is the only fix, however i still find it mind boggling that it is going to take well over a week to get this sorted, whenever Skoda know there is a problem and how to fix it and their factory trained technicians have proved the car pulls to the left, do they not trust their own people!!! F*****G W*****S Ah well looks like another £10 of derv into their VAG parts bin (rapid) ahhhhhhhhhh why wont this forum let me swear properly
  17. Yes the **** has been extracted and i don't even have enough left to be '****ed off' The wheel alignment is telling them the car is perfectly aligned as the first day i dropped the car of i waited around to have the first alignment check done and the tyre tech guy walked back in with my (the wife's) keys shrugged his shoulders and told the service desk 'perfect, nothing wrong with the alignment' of course they didn't know i had heard him, numpty's, the service guy came round the corner and said 'it was slightly out and now it should be fine' to which i replied 'that's funny i just heard what the tyre guy said!!! red faces lol, so i went for a drive round the block, brought the car straight back and booked it in for Tuesday past. Believe it or not it is Skoda's warranty dept that are holding up everything and asking for all the needless alignments to be done, i have had daily contact with both Skoda UK and my dealer to ensure they are both singing of the same hymn sheet If it still pulls to the left when i pick it up and has the conties on then i will give my dealer the ultimatum, get Pirelli tyres on now or there are the keys Pete
  18. The car has now been with my dealer for 4 days, it has had 2 wheel alignments done and been fitted with donor wheels, the donor wheels had Conties on and apparently is driving straight, Skoda now want to put my wheels with Dunlop tyres back on and get the wheels aligned again!!!! to see if the pull is still there, Skoda UK have been in touch and say if the next wheel alignment does not fix the pull they will authorise the fitting of new tyres more than likely the conties as these are the tyres the tech used and reported no pulling. This is great if when i get the car back there is no pulling to the left, however why do i have the feeling that it will still pull with the new conties fitted :wonder:
  19. yea ball sac, ballbag, bull root, ball begg all pretty much the same, i liked the review, just thought he was a bit of a dung dipper
  20. think i need another word with my dealer while they are sorting the tyres out then
  21. Nov 2013 All you can see here + sat nav, climate, heated seats, reverse sensors, arm rest and cruise control as for mud flaps my dealer told me they could not be fitted to the vRS
  22. He is what we in Northern Ireland commonly describe as a 'ballbegg'
