  1. Dam it. You were right with the wires needing swapping as they originally went to the two missing pins on the headunit. I've remade the connection to the correct pins via the loom block. The PIN numbers were 7 & 1 labelled as mic in +ve and mic in -ve tried the wires both ways round to make sure. So either the wire has a break, the connection by the mic up in the head lining is loose or the mic is broke or worst of the worst the head unit has a malfunction????? Arrrgggghhhh! Back to tearing it down again :-(
  2. Ok all the hardware is connected up, it works instantly on the bolero loaded up address book can make and receive calls but the microphone does not work??? Now is this just because I haven't coded it yet or is this a problem that will rear it's head when the coding is done?
  3. Having a look at the 5n0035730D there is no socket for the maroon coloured plug " the aerial I'm assuming" So does this mean that A) Did audio systems supply the wrong lead package as the module number I have was stated in the advert for this loom. Does the bluetooth module 5n0035730D have an internal aerial for bluetooth? C) Other than the wiring harness (which included the microphone) and the bluetooth module 5n0035730D do I need any other hardware to make this work with my multifunction steering wheel, my bolero and white dot MFD???? I have a mate that has VAGCOM and I've found the coding off my-gti so other than that will this work with my iphone 4s? Cheers for your time guys
  4. Not a clue, I purley went of the bluetooth ecu model number and what carsystems .pl had referenced. What's the difference between the premium and standard?
  5. Hi folks I need help on installing my factory bluetooth upgrade. The Car is a 2011 octavia VRS diesel with a bolero and dsg. I have installed the microphone, bluetooth ecu, wiring loom from carsystems PL. My bluetooth module NO. is 5N0035730D. All's connected apart from the GSM aerial? Have a look at the photo and see what you think folks. I have the twin aerial socket on the radio and the twin aerial plug from manufacture. Where does this GSM areial plug into? I'm thinking that my bluetooth module is to old for the bolero head unit interface? Anybody with any help i would be grateful. Cheers
  6. Cheers KB, The Part No. is 5N0035730D so I will be the one with the aerial. With regard's to running the Mic cable, I've got the curtain airbags, are the covers simply clip on or do I need to be aware of anything else. Obviously Battery will be disconnected before I start the work.
  7. Hi folks, I'm getting the bit's together for fitting bluetooth to my 2010 Vrs CR. I've purchased a bluetooth module of Ebay coded , I'm now looking at carsystems.pl to find out what installation kit I need. I have a Bolero headunit and the white maxidot. I'm assuming I need this kit http://www.carsystems.pl/bluetooth-installation-kit-plug-play-for-premium-module-5n0-and-3c8-foam-cover,id117.html Is there any else I require? Any help would be appreciated
  8. Hi guy's, I’m looking to upgrade my bolero head unit in my Octavia VRS MK2 FL. Have used the search option and after trawling through hundreds of post, I may have found a unit I like over the Columbus retrofit. It's a Zenec NC2011D. Does anyone have one already installed? If you do can you post a few pics for fit and OEM look? Also any draw backs against it over fitting a Columbus? I want Bluetooth and this has it already built in. As th eunit communicates with the MFD for SATNAV, radio, etc.... does it do the same with the bluetooth for your phone. I.e. can you anwser calls, browse contacts and basically dothe OEM bluetooth stuff with the steering wheels controls and MFD. Any Help would be most appreciated Cheers
  9. Had a look at an Octavia MK2 white VRS they had in stock and was genuinely interested but when it came to talking about a deal I was not impressed. First off I went through the part ex route (had a buyer lined up for my previous motor but wanted to see what I could get) They had the same car as mine on the forecourt with higher miles, worse condition and a lower model. This was up for £4999, he offered me £2200 on mine!!!! I laughed and asked him to turn round and explain the difference from mine to that one to which he said that’s turnover for you??? I then asked for a discount with an all cash deal and he went to the office came back with a photocopy of the car I was interested in and said they’ve only just knocked a £1000 off the car last week. After that I politely told him that it’s no wonder the owner can run around in an Aston Martin and that I understand profit margins but I don’t appreciate being ripped off. Found my car up the line with more spec, same age, 2000 more miles and £2999 cheaper!! I won’t be going there for anything on sheer principal. And after the reviews above on their workshop, I wouldn’t take my pushbike to them. I’ll take the extra distance of 60miles and go to sinclares in Swansea.
  10. I'll be using these guys instead of Fred Ree's in Haverfordwest near me. For me the extra distance is worth the service and quality of work.

  12. Hi guys, new to the world of skoda and the VAG. I've bought myself a MKII VRS CR facelift on a late 2010. I've got DSG on the car so from what I understand the steering controls are standard. It has the basic radio and in dash cd balero player. Basically I've used the search tool and all its done is confused me with the amount of options I can have. So I'm basically looking for someone with Tech knowledge to tell me what I need for what I want :S I want the Columbus head unit with sat nav, I then want the bluetooth handfree for my iphone and i want the ipod connection to the head unit. Can anyone give me a list or contact for all the things (i.e. looms, antenna connection, steering wheel control adapters etc.) Cheers Folks.
  13. Haha yeah thats why I went for a DSG model, foot down and go! Losing 5 thousand Rpm is worth the cheaper fuel bills and not panicking when the engine takes more than 3seconds to kick over!
  14. Hi folks, New proud owner of A MKII FL VRS Cr. Still getting used to using the black nozzle as I came from a Mazda RX-8 which as I'm sure some of you will have heard likes a drop of petrol now and again. Looking through the vast amount of post on this forum has given me a good few idea on what upgrades to do to the car already ;-)
