  1. I'd be dead interested on hearing how you got on with the Bluetooth unit.
  2. I'm back again! 3rd furby 1st VRS -ralley green -black pack -mullti function wheel -estate! She needs some paint doing on every panel apart from the roof, to 42.5k on the clock, and I'm missing the arm rest.
  3. Hi every one, I just wanted to know if any one has a bright idea or has had the same issue as I've got and knows how to fix it. The rear folding seat mechanism doesn't disengage when the handle is pulled up so I have no way of folding the left rear (40) side of the 60/40 split rear seats. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
  4. You could go classic Fab Mk1 VRS and get a Leon cupra front splitter to go under the VRS bumper, or does it not fit on a Mk2 very well?
  5. What ever my front blades are are great but the back one judders and makes a horrid noise on the first pass and the return pass is fine the rear window is lovely and clear with no noise or fuss, it winds the Mrs up no end but it does the job. But what should I look at for a rear replacement when the time comes that the wiper makes nothing but noise and leaves rain on the rear screen?
  6. Do shark use a dyno to do the testing?
  7. Mines an 08 and even after talking to Adrian Flux the car was going to be £10 more expensive a month with the tune as it stands so +1 year will hopefully help.
  8. I've been reading up on a few options and the bhp can go up to 110 with a chip unit and most remaps are offered at around the 105bhp- 110bhp mark, and there doesn't seem to reports of clutch problems or prematurely failing turbos. I'm looking to get a map done myself, but another years no claims will be handy and setting up a new insurance policy with the mod on will be better than adding it to my current one as it ups it by 50%.
  9. HI, hopefully I should be taking a look at a nice 1.9tdi on friday, I've been through the forum and come up short of a buyer's guide. The price won't be up for discussion as it's a part ex from a dealership but what should I look out for? Or will every thing be pretty much the same if I look at a vrs specific buying thread?
  10. The GT bumper front spoiler lip thingy is a bonding job at the top and underneath it screws in to the existing holes that the engine trey and bumper meet, if you know what i mean. I know this because I've got an un used gt bumper at home that hasn‘t sold on ebay twice now, and I want rid if any ones interested. I know i need to be a freedom member to sell stuff but I will practicly give it away as I i no longer have a fabia :( Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I'm 24 and have no NCD and passed 6 days ago. I've gone with Admiral as there £200 cheaper, even after I went through all of the details twice because I didn't think I could get a policy under £1000. Get your mum or some one with a decent amount of CLEAN driving under their belts who you would actually let use the car. Also it shouldn't matter who the cars registered owner is as long as you've got the policy in your name and you declare who the registered keeper is as it appears on the V5 doc so saying its your nan's car doesn't help as the policy is yours. ( a lady at work officially owns her daughters car but they didn't put the correct ownership and said the daughter owned it and then the car was a victim of a bump and run and the insurer won't pay out as the details weren't correct on the policy and the policy is now void and the repairs will have to come from their own pockets. Bad times. )
  12. I put the steelies and rubbish wheel trims back on and I've just sold the Fabia..... I couldn't afford to keep putting in money in to it as I've just had to put a new front spring and new droplink bushes before I could take my driving test (which I passed). I've also I called off the service I had planned because it would have probably been £500+, so I've sold up and I'll have to move on to some thing else. :(
  13. It does, and paying for a wedding is also happening before I get a set of nice wheels. But the service was delayed due to staff illness. Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Wow it seems I've angered some people with my love for Ferrari monza rip off wheels. sorry...
  15. tricey777 Yeah I'm not original at all but I'm looking for a few people to play BF3 with as CoD went down hill after CoD4, and Ive got a youtube channel that Ive not touched in a while with game footage on \in my sig. \/
  16. After seeing stanced uk's glorious selection of wheels it seems that 3sdm will be doing some 16" wheels I know 17" would be better but good things go to those who wait I'm sure.
  17. Is it weird I'm loving the sump scraping + roof rails? Its not a normal combo but it works.
  18. I know the feeling i took off the LamineX a previos owner put on and it handles like a dream lol! On the other hand i thought coilies lowererd the centre of gravity and were stiffer to improve road holding? or are you commenting on the fact your spine is not destroyed after long trips? 19. 90‘s Seat Leon 15“ wheels a bargin at less than £50 for all four and with rubber, but they have alloy acne and need some tlc. Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Found it! I think I'm going to ask a chap I know at a garage if he can tack a few bits of threaded rod to the floor and then I could pop the mount on and then wind some nuts down so its solid as. But I‘ll have to see what he says as I'm not too fond of the idea of self tapping screws going in to my interior trim, but atleast I know what to do if welding is a no go.
  21. Hi mate I've just picked my self up a Mk4 golf arm rest and I'm struggling to come up with a way of fitting it, have you got a plan on how you'll be attaching yours?
  22. It was only £700, so it could of been worse.
  23. Oh lord! The only thing in my defence is I'm the 3rd owner and the first one had it serviced every 10k up until 05 then the next owner is the one to blame for the lack of annual care, as I've had the car 10 months and done about 1500 miles in it learning and lending to the Mrs while her cars been unwell. Thanks for the heads up and warning me near enough every thing in the engine bay needing replacing :( but i gues these things need doing if I'm going to run the car for the next 5 or so years. I‘ll let you all know dammage if I don't have to sell up and move in to a box in an ally behind a chip shop.
