  1. Funny you should mention "noise". I have a 2012 CAVE that's just hit 40k and have a noise by what I can only describe as a pully. It was a rattle that's turned into a more of a wheel bearing type noise. I thought I was doing well being one of the lucky CAVE owners with no oil issues or gearbox issues for that matter.
  2. I got ran into the back of while waiting in traffic. I had my foot on the footbrake and also have a high level middle light too. Nothing to do with lights. The moron wasn't paying attention. Im just happy he was only just setting off. He thought i had moved off when i was stationary.
  3. Loving the Fins on the rear spoiler! Also looking forward to seeing the bonnet. What Head unit is that?
  4. I've spoken to Ant today regarding his TMC box. I've bought a blue spark box due me still being a little sketchy about a map. I more favor the option to switch back to standard with this car. A few more bits to upgrade and i'll get it on the rollers. Though this is a CAVE engine. (not an oil user haha)
  5. Just a typo as i was mainly on about sidelights haha. Yeah the festoon type as ive fitted them.
  6. Ahh, thanks for that Lee. To much skim reading on my part. Really? everyone seems to rave on about them. Can't be any worse than they currently are. If that is the case i'll go the HID route.
  7. I decided it was time to change a few bits on the Fabia. Lights for one. My car has the black Pack so the headlights aint exactly great. ive ordered a set of Osram Night Breakers as ive seen a fair few good reviews on here, i also got a set of white LED Error free 501 Bulbs for the rear number plate lamps. Upon looking around the car tonight i noticed what i can only describe is a side light bulb in the headlight? The inner bub, mine seem to be blue in colour. Now i run my Car with the DRL's switched on. (Early VRS with a switch). Anyway, they don't work? haha im just taking it as because the DRL are side lights that the bulbs in the headlight either are not wired up or connected? I just wanted clarification more than anything haha. Thanks
  8. Yeah thats right. From the service info it had the brake fluid changed last year. I can sort the plugs myself. I'll just have a minor service from Skoda to keep the records in tact.
  9. That could be the reason! Haha very true, I was only saying to my other half i wish the charger was louder and a few days later i somehow came to the conclusion it sounded louder but then got me thinking. From the service book it seems it has been Serviced twice already. last one was 10k ago so i'll get it booked in.
  10. Paranoid? So recently ive noticed my charger wining seems a little louder than it use too, I've had the car since November last year. It's just hit 20k and is an early 2012 with the CAVE engine. I have no oil or dsg issues. Car drives great. I'm pretty sure im just being paranoid but thought id post encase someone else has also noticed this? Thanks.
  11. I think skoda messed up with the mk1. Yes its a solid engine. But it was diesel and poor without a map. Its too good on fuel. Its lets say the "sports" model. It should consume fuel and put a smile on your face in an instant. the mk2 has done this for me. All i ever read on fb groups are people asking about faults on their mk1's. Fuel isnt overly bad either. Just adjust your driving style.
  12. To be very honest every time i drive my car i think to myself "i love this car" i forever read "should have bought a mk1 comments. Nomrally by people who havent even driven a mk2. I came from a mk1. Loved it but it was time to move on.
  13. All i can tell you is im 100% happy with the job. Colour is perfect. no mis match ect. And no he's not painted that colour before.
  14. Well an update regarding the car. The "Lad" who decided to bump into the rear bumper has purchased a genuine bumper from Skoda as i asked and dropped it at the bodyshop. Im booked in for Tuesday to have it painted / fitted ect. He's blending it into the rear quarters too as he said if he just painted the bumper you would notice the difference. All in all im very happy with the car. I managed 50mpg on the way back from Birmingham yesterday. 2000rpm 7th gear 60mph.
  15. Not overly. New bumper though. The plastic is dented and split along the top. Already rang Rainworth Skoda for a bumper price. The guys paying for it as he didnt want to go through insurance.
  16. aprox 6mm, but will check with the tyre depth gauge so you have an accurate answer.
  17. Forest Town I'll pop up one time. I'm surprised i havent yet. Thanks man Oh and to top things off! It got ran into the back of today! :(
  18. Haha i had noticed the black bits on the bumper and boot lid. Not a problem at all. the exhaust cleaned up a treat, just like the mk1 use too. I did my homework before buying haha so im awear of some of the cars issues. Thanks for the heads up! I'm seriously happy with it so far!
  19. Thanks Sharkrider and FurbyTom Its got just under 13k on the clock, a few bits i need to tidy up. Whoever owned it previously didnt know how to clean a car. The roof has swirls. Theres the odd mark here and there. All will be sorted when the weather lets me. Even smaller bits like the exhuast has never been cleaned.
  20. I put my Fabia Vrs back to standard before i traded her in for the mk2 so i have these to get from under my feet. I've put thought into it and i know i wont get back what i paid in total. Please refrain from the low blow offers. I very much doubt you will get this setup cheaper. I paid. £300 wheels £300 Tyres £150 adapters I'm after £380 for everything! Located in Pinxton / Nottingham as they're at work. Collection from my workplace is a must. Any time between 8am and 5pm during the week. I'm not posting. I honestly dont have the time to package them up. All wheels are stright and true. No cracks. Two wheels have kerb marks. Pictured below. They are not deep and will rub out very easy. All tyres are new from July. No uneven wear, bulges or punchers. Tyres have loads of tread. Adapters was also new in July.
