  1. hello there just reading this thread i though i put my thoughts to it , i part ex in my vrs for a near as dam it new Audi s3 sportback the two cars are like chalk and cheese my vrs was up to stage 2 ,and i know my audi in standard forM 265 would eat it, all the vrs would do is sit there spinning its wheels by that time the audi is gone , i loved the fabia but to start comparing it with Audis and cars in that price range is a little silly ,build quality is unreal no rattles and quiet the engine is bullet proof ,and did a long run in the Audi and got 330 out of the tank and thats what i got if less from the stage 2 fab ,got rid of the vrs because i could not trust it anymore had one engine before it was mapped then got rid before the warranty ran out
  2. hello there i have just got rid of mine 60 plate with 17k on the clock got £10k for her i was happy ,had a new engine fitted just did not have the confidence in the car anymore loved it has a car but not the engine made of chocolate ,that was from a audi garage now got a 62 plate s3 sportsback ,so this is a good buy also to this forum .
  3. hello there i am sure you are right with the fixed /variable servicing my car went in for the oil breather software update and the new bottom end ,when she came back there was no oil temp indicated ,it was there on the maxi dot but ticked all ready ,i rang the dealer he said it was to do with the service interval set up ,i am of to awesome to get some work done see if they can turn it back on .
  4. hello i have done a lot of stereo installations on many cars and help pros put stereo, nav and screens into lots of cars , i have a vrs which i have have put a simple system into the doors on the vrs are so well built door card ,metal plate then strength bar just to upgrade the door speakers it is so hard to sound deaden the doors but got it done ,so last week i helped a friend to put a system into a new Ibiza Cupra we had to take the door cards of to upgrade the speakers the only way to do this is to remove the glass from the door then you can take the door card of which then has nothing much behind it so poor quality compared to the vrs no metal plate just a big hole then the strength bar which was very small , never ever seen this in a car before crazy way of taking a door card of ,as they say may look nice but what is underneath counts to ,the car must pass a crash test but i know which one i would rather be sat in my little pocket rocket skody .,still the new seat is a good looking car
  5. is that a skoda dealership looks nothing like the workshops my car got a new bit of engine ?

  7. i agree with you my car is going in for a new bottom end on Monday i have the oil issue but i have give up on this forum ,i understand people have the right to have there say but its just so over the top ,this running it in stuff just drive the car ,the vrs is a great car i love mine it burns a little oil skoda say it is not up to there standards so i let them fix it,i use to like this forum for good tuning information but its turned into paranoid city .any way thats my say ,so everybody with a new vrs just enjoy it

  12. hello there i have to hold my hand up and say that's my little baby ,i all ready had a shark map on the car but at the time i had no intake and there was a slight problem with taking the de - cat out which was solved a week later . so with a few posts going around saying that the shark map may have some problems thought it would be a good i dear to ring ben and ask him about my car .so he invited me down to see him and have a chat and at the same time get my de -cat done which is what i have had done today its a 260 mile round trip for me which i can say was so worth it ben explained and showed me the map that was on my car which had nothing on it no massive requests for boost just a nice curve on the dyno graphs ,after the de -cat was done ben asked me if it would be ok for him and mikka hope that's how you spell the nice guys name to work on the car on the dyno to get it right for the intake and de cat off course i said sure then well over 4 hours or more later they were happy with the final map on my car i was taken back by the attention to detail they have when tuning and they were doing this in there time not getting paid for it which i thought was the best customer service i think i have ever had the final result was 215.2hp /364nm and once again they showed me all the the graphs showing how it was mapped and all well in the engines and turbo safe capacity and the car is so smooth but goes like stink, it was good on the first map but now i have had the full stage 2 it is a proper giggle and weapon , i would like to thank ben and all his staff for the great chilled out day i have had it was spot on learn t a lot and it was a fun journey but even more fun on the way back had the biggest grin on my face all the way home ,if there is anybody in the north east of England and would like to see what a stage 2 car is like send us a private message and may be able to meet some were .that's the end of my waffle just once again a big thank you to ben and staff for a great day and making a great car in to a very special pocket rocket cheers
  13. hi there a little warning when you go to ask your insurance company about adding springs , i did the same thing i was with the RAC when i told them i just had the springs fitted he checked on his computer and sorry sir we can not insure your car with that mod so he had to cancel my policy there and then ,so my car was uninsured for the 10 mins it took me to find a company who would insure my modded car which was admiral just a little warning

  19. hello there well i have the bits to change the front black ,you get the top section with the badge and the black insert to replace the chrome .fitted the top part it took 4 mins so easy ,but the insert is a nightmare i have some instructions from the milotec site for fitting a front grill but they dont seam to be for a vrs model ,the instructions show you can get your arm through the top of the grill ,you can on the vrs if you are six year old then put a belt through the grill and pull it out from the bottom ,so is not working ,anybody got any idears on here please on how to get the vrs grill out thanks for any help if not mr skoda will have to fit it bummer lol .
  20. hello i think us people who have a vrs now and want to change the lights will have to wait until the vrs comes out with the black pack and take it from there for the lights ,bit of a wait for that lol
  21. hello there i have rang my local dealer about the black pack to fit to my vrs the front grill is available should get that this week ,round about £60 for the top and bottom it comes with the skoda badge in it ,but the lights are not available yet as a spare part for the monte carlo so just have to wait and see when they are out to buy .will let people no when they are out .
