Hi Guys, I have a 1.9 Tdi 105bhp Octavia estate. At low revs on slightly rougher roads i can hear a very very annoying rattle / vibration. coming from the front of the car, either in the dash or engine. I presume it happening a higher revs but i can not hear it then. The rattle sounds like a very thin piece of aliminium or plastic vibrating. I have taken everything out the car thinking it was internal but no luck, emptied all compartments including the glove box. some details on the car:- No mods I dont tinker or play with he car coming up to 50k miles car is a 2009 (09) plate Only solution at present is turning the stereo up but its worrying me Thanks in advance for any help guys

Hey guys, need two bits of advice really. just bought a bargain felicia but needs a bit of TLC to bring it upto scratch. Firstly, There is some slight rust on the wheel arches. I remember my dad having a set of rubber protectors which went on every arch to hide / protect against rust. I beleive they glued on and were about 2 inches high off the arch. any idea where i can get these or anyone got a set they wish to sell? secondly, At some point a previous owner as had the engine over heat and although the engine is fine there are large patches on the bonnet where the lacquer as come off. whats the best cheap thing to do with this? find an item which will strip the rest of the lacquer off and T Cut the bonnet up? or Buy some aerosol lacquer from Halfords, clean off the lose lacquer and spray this on and hope the best (i know it wont be perfect) all thoughts welcommed Daz

You lot are quite harsh, I use my local " Fast Fit " place and it is brilliant. On about my 6th set of tires with them and never had a problem

Felicia Diesels?
daz51 replied to iCraig's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman
it all depends how you drive them to be hinest and all cars are different. If i drove my old Fabia Sdi at around 50 on a long run i coould get 70 mpg -

craig easy to decide. If you want to sit at 40 - 50 mph on your own in a car to commute then a Sdi is ideal. you will easily get 60 mpg If you want to do 60mph, pull up and over take slower moving taffic than a Tdi is needed. still get 55 mpg as well
