:confused: Can anyone tell me when the timing belt should be changed on my 1.6 LX Octavia. It has currently done 40,000 miles and is 6.5 years old. Does age have any bearing on when it should be chnaged or is it mileage. Polly :confused:

I recently purchased a 1998 LXI Octavia, I think the car is great, except for one thing which is the lack of a rear windscreen wiper, especially now it is winter.....does anyone know if these can be fitted and any idea of the cost? Pocket:)
