  1. salamagundi's post in DDLs not working after service was marked as the answer   
    Booked problem with dealer (Gordon Lamb, Spondon, Derby) and problem was fixed while I waited. They hooked it up to their VAG diagnostic equipment, and it turned out to be a blown fuse! Me bad - must have checked the wrong fuse. Can recomment Gordon Lamb as a dealer.
