  1. Traded in the Skoda for a KIA Sportage - GT-Line S 1.6 T GDi 174bhp 7-speed auto DCT ISG AWD Dark Penta Metal
  2. Yup, it was nearside rear bearing - £144
  3. Thanks for that Snapper1725 - I had checked this. My last car (Saab 95) used to turn rear tyres into 50p pieces!
  4. Thanks TheRobinK - at least it gives me an idea. Booked it in so will just have to wait and see, not main dealer as I will be part ex the car in about 6-7 weeks but have one long trip to do before then and can't risk it failing
  5. Does anyone have a rough idea what it is likely to cost to get a rear wheel bearing replaced? Skoda Mk2 Superb
  6. Any tips on removing the switches, are they all individual or a block? Think I will be ordering one of these - ordered now
  7. Fan had seized up. Replaced and all now working
  8. Thanks guys. At least it is not too expensive having spent about £1500 in the last few months on the car. Not good at DIY (usually break things) so it is booked in to a local (non dealer) garage on Thursday.
  9. Looks like the fan for my aircon/heater has packed up - anyone got an idea about the cost for a replacement
  10. When I start the car (lights in Auto) I get the dreaded bong then a message in maxidot to say 'no corner lights (AFS) - see manual' or words to that effect. I did get this once before about a year ago but it went after about 48 hours but this has gone on for about a week now. I have checked all the bulbs and the fog lights go on when cornering. Any ideas?
  11. If you get a price from the main dealer I would be interested to know how much
  12. If anyone finds a supplier for the parts let us know
  13. Likewise - I have the same problem. Don't want to have to change the whole door skin but not sure if that part detaches in any way from the door skin
  14. Thanks, pulled that fuse (37) and it seems to have done it. I still get lights on the switches but no power is getting to the seat heater. Once it is all fully dry I can pop it back in and test again.
  15. After a recent issue that allowed a lot of water into the passenger foot well (now sorted) I am trying to dry everything out but found that the passenger seat heater has decided to be on even when it is off! I assume this is due to the water ingress and I want to pull the fuse until it is all fully dried and then I can test it out when water is no longer in the mix. Can anyone tell me where the fuse is located and what one it will be (2008 model 2 Superb Saloon). I assume it will be on a fuse of its own given its heavy power demand. The electric seat adjusters all seem to work OK. Many thanks Martin
  16. OK had some heavy rain and more water has got in overnight. Window deffo not open. How do I get the door card off to check the plastic cover on the inside of the door. Don't want to break and clips etc.
  17. Just tried a watering can to see if any gets in and it has stayed dry - looks like I left a window down
  18. LOL, could be I scared the 'water' out of them. Managed to suck the water out with a carpet cleaner using the upholstery attachment. Was surprised at how much there was but I am beginning to think the window was partly open and we have had some very heavy rain recently. I shall keep an eye on it after the next rain - don't think I will have long to wait!
  19. Just found water in rear passenger foot well. No sign of a leak seats are dry, roof lining is dry, seals all in good order it is just in the foot well. It is possible that I have left a window partly open during recent rain but not aware of this. Is there anywhere else it could have come from?
  20. I just bought a replacement part on eBay that swaps out the sucker bit for an adhesive pad. Not fitted yet as its been too cold! You need to make sure it is one that will fit the ball part from a Nextbase mount as I believe some are a different size.
  21. When I queried the hardwire connection with Nextbase they advised to connect it to something that is only live when the keys are in the ignition, which suits me as I don't have to worry about a flat car battery. I will get limited time in parking mode from the camera's internal battery or may just turn parking mode off.
  22. Ah, now you are getting me worried! Think I may be better getting someone to fit it for me
  23. Thanks guys, looks like I may have a go myself
