  1. Yup got my degree the long way around. Finished school after 4th year to do a 4 year Multi Skilled Modern Apprenticeship with BP in the Chemical,Mechanical,Instrument,Electrical trades and was also sent to college day release to get more pieces of paper. After my time was out I spent another year in the chemical side of it for experience. BP was in a bad way so I jumped ship to Heriot Watt Uni with a nice golden handshake that paid for my 3yrs at uni ( finished uni with £50 in my back pocket!  ) and also got every book i needed for uni in the deal as well ( bout 1100 squidly dids worth) which was ace cos most other folk had to fight over the only copy that the library had of all the books! Graduated last November in Chemical Engineering on the Saturday and had two solid offers on the Monday ( Had four interviews in total and ended up getting 3 offers:D ) and the job I accepted,Process Engineer I absolutely love it. Learning so much in all aspects of engineering too from mechanical to Electrical to Civil and also a wee bit of project management thrown in there too! Most of my mates stayed at school went straight to Uni and are still struggling to get a good job. If I had my time all over again I'd do it exactly the same way!
  2. Sweden was amazing mate. I went for 9 days to an island on the east coast of sweden then travelled around the west coast gothenburg then to norway for a week. Yeah It is a great country to move to but it is a wee bit harder than here to get a job but if you can speak a bit of the language and are established in your profession it should be ok to get a job! I just have another year of experience to get first!
  3. Well just returned from my holidays in Sweden and Norway and got a few great pictures taken on my travels. Travelled all around Norway in 5 days and done the fjords and can i Just say what a beautiful country but bloody hell it was expensive!!!! twice the price of Sweden and here. Anyway here is a couple of photos i took out there that I think are quite good by a complete novice snapper!!
  4. Well I know that the journey from Lubeck to Norrkoping takes a good 13 hours if you do it straight ( Puttgarden,Denmark,Helsingor, Helsingborg,Norrkoping ) and if the traffic is bad then it'll be much longer especially that time of the year. Alternative is to go over bridge to malmo but think that is longer. Also drive from Norrkoping to Ornskoldsvik take a while too and at that time of year you'll be lucky to do 90 kph with the snow. Would definitely recommend a support vehicle and another driver in your car cos believe me driving for that distance when all you see is snow flakes coming at you doesn't half drain you. It'll make you a much better driver though!!
  5. Your third stage seems a bit strange? Jonkoping is an hour and a half drive south ( at best) of Norrkoping (end stage 2) then you'd drive up past it again??????
  6. I'd love to come but I'm in Sweden for this http://www.medeltidsveckan.com/english/ at the same time so unfortunately can't make it :thumbdwn:
  7. It's a shame you never got a photo of the look on his face when you smoked him away from the lights !
  8. Gorgeous colour but i think this http://www.briskoda.net/forums/photography-photoshop/kawasaki-orange-octavia/55843/ looks better ! Nice photo through the back window from your pal EE someone should have given the poor boy a cushion to sit on
  9. Thought prostitution was illegal in this country???? Remember the granny? Wayne Rooney Shrek
  10. That's my old stomping ground. I know lots of wee places around there that are fantastic fun.I remember that place when there were no trees there !  BE careful up there after 6pm thats the local Dogging Place  sorry if i've let your secret out Yeah my fav bit up there is the trails that go around the perimeter of the park especially the bit near the river you can get good speed around there, dogging in and out of the trees that stick out onto the path. If you wanna go out sometime for a whirl let me know mate:thumbup:
  11. just walk along at the back of him a few times holding on onto the underside of the seat until he gets the hang of it which shouldn't be too long at 7. Oh and if he falls off just tell him to get back up and on the bike. As they say practice makes perfect edit; beaten too it!
  12. Just applied for mine too as I'm off to Sweden in a months time
