I'm looking to sell all 4 wheels as a set or individually eg for spares but I do not want to split the wheels/centre caps. Thanks -

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to post the photos. If anyone wants to see pictures let me know and I'll email them. David -
Due to the recent sale of my Monte I am selling the 'spare' wheels I acquired. One is unmarked, the next has a slight scuff which has been painted in and is only noticeable upon close inspection, the third has a slightly larger kerbing scuff and would benefit from refurbishment and finally the fourth wheel has slightly more rim scuffing and would certainly benefit from a cosmetic refurbishment. All have okayish tyres that are legal and the only damage is cosmetic even wheel 4 was used on the car for 4 months after its 'coming together ' with the kerb. Ideally I'd like to sell all 4 to another owner although if not would consider selling separately for use as a spare wheel/tyre. The price, for all 4 wheels and tyres to include centre caps is £200.00 Collection only from Norton near Worcester approximately 1.5 miles from M5 J7

Not really sure what all the fuss is about. The car doesn't look very special and to me looks like a smaller XF that has had some of the larger cars detail removed. I'm sure that once the initial hype has died down the usual mags will revert to the status quo and say that the 3 series is the class leader at least in dynamic terms.

Having once had a mk1 vrs I'd be interested to know if your Monte feels similar performance wise once remapped. ATB Dave

What power are shark quoting? I've got a 105bhp Monte Carlo Tech and are interested in remapping it. I shall follow this with interest.

I've had good experience of Trust Skoda at their Redditch site. Both in terms of buying the car and the subsequent 2 services. Each time a clean courtesy car was provided and my own washed and vacuumed.

I'll leave it to someone else if that's ok

924/944?

I'd have said stick some decent fuel in along with something like Millers and get the engine nice and hot before giving it an Italian tune!

More fun than they've any right to be given how cheaply they can be picked up.

An 'inexpensive 'Porsche as a 2nd/fun car?
DavidIF replied to DavidIF's topic in General Automotive Chat
Having had mk1 & mk3 mx5 I just prefer them to s2000's. I accept that the Honda is a good deal quicker in a straight line I don't think the steering feel is anything like as good as any of the Mx's I've owned or driven. Although for steering feel the Caterham was better than just about anything I've driven. -

Funnily enough I had considered an S2000 seeing it as a logical step up from the MX5 but I really have a hankering for a Porsche! I'm not looking at too complex a car which to me rules out 928s and maybe even a Boxter so probably looking more at a 924S (the 2.5 Porsche engine) or a 944. I'd like a 968 but they are slightly out of budget. -

Forgot to mention that performance is not the overriding factor. I can enjoy a back road drive at modest speeds so for example the relatively low performance of a 2.0 924 is not an issue. I am looking for something that will not break the bank with running costs primarily.
