Hi guys. Notified today from dealer that they are unable to order from factory any 190 dsg models with no time scale on when they will be available again , I've seen on some threads people not being able to order any L&C either . hope skoda isn't doing the same as VW and killing off 190 option engine selection possible only available on Sportline models , anyone else of this or have a reason .....

As a company car driver covering 80k yearly easily I've had Audi, VW Passat , Superb MkII and currently BMW 3 series , in my opinion the mkII was a fabulous car , all the extras as standard in the elegance spec , MkIII has removed lots of "extras " in the new model , previously the passat was way underspecced at HL compared to skoda but now it's better specced and cheaper , Skoda dealers have changed from friendly sales staff to unhelpful big headed sales who think they are selling rolls Royce. even though the MKIII is a great car, even at its top spec it's getting too expensive , simple things like keyless entry or electric boot closing are standard on many cars now , BMW , Audi. Merc but extras on superb .

Only received an email this morning that 190 dsg is not available to order with no update on next ordering time , direct from dealer here in Ireland . Could it be same issue VW have with not offering 190 diesel on standard passat . is skoda keeping this engine for Sportsline option only ?

Thks Brian I sent the dealer a screen shot of the website today but he's convinced there not standard spec as there on the options list . im going to ring another dealer in the morning and double check .

Hi guys , I'm nearly signed on the dotted line for my second Superb here in Ireland , loved the MkII , changed to 3 series , back to MkIII. When looking at standard Spec in Skoda.ie for Style it states lane assist and blind spot standard spec for Style , Dealer is looking at my strangely when ordering as it's not on his spec ?.. appreciate if anyone with Stlye spec in Ire could confirm? Comes as standard on passat HL. thks

I agree its disappointing to find that a car that cost 30k + needs rubber strips and grease to stop all rattles and squeaks. Mine is just over 1 yr 80k and is beginning to sound like a builders van with all the rattles . Last car A4 had 280k before handing back and still felt solid and rattle free , I think its all the same parts bin ie Audi vw but just not put together with the same care .

Hi wondering if anyone can help , I recently downloaded music in mp3 format onto my phone HTC hd desire , all plays fine on Columbus through Bluetooth but can't see track info on head unit. I copied the files from phone onto sd card and the unit doesnt read the file , error message wrong file format . The music files are mp3 format , play perfect on pc . I then ripped a cd to mp3 format and loads and plays perfect off sd card . Any thoughts on the files off my phone ?

Goodyear f1 all the way , Dunlop sports worst tyres I have ever had on any car , imo

Just to update on the issue above concerning tyre noise with Dunlop sport tyres , replaced them yesterday at 31k for Goodyear f1 tyres . Difference is amazing , tyre noise reduced by 80 % , the most unusual aspect that I would never have believed is that the car feels much more comfortable over the bumps . Already told dealer if I am to purchase another superb he will have to bin the dunlops first .

Two points , firstly the way you can deafen yourself while parking if you run your hand on the volume steering controls , secondly the worst is the way water can flow into the boot when the boot is opened in the twin door !

Hi what would you recommend to clean the ivory leather seats with ? , 3 kids and general wear and tear . Looking for something not too expensive to clean and protect them . Too expensive to get rid of wife and kids so close to Christmas
