  1. I take it your not one of the 97% of customers who would recommend Arnold Clark or part of the 94% customer satisfaction. Makes you wonder how they arrive at these figures. Suspect your heading back to West End Garage?
  2. What I find difficult to understand is that apart from the bodywork the cars have nearly the same components so why the difference in reliability?
  3. That's a pity Ian given how much you liked your old Yeti.
  4. Having also swapped a Yeti for a Tiguan for the same reason........I prefer the Tiguan as I think it is more refined and better built. I also prefer the dash layout , but then we are all different.
  5. No sarcasm intended I assure you. The reason I changed from a Yeti to Tiguan was that I tow a caravan and if I wanted a bigger one I needed a car with a heavier kerb weight. Prior to the Yeti I had a Bora 130pd. Sold with 136k on the clock and had no problems. Before that a 110 Passat sold at 126k again no problems. In fact the only VW I had problems with was a 1973 1600TE fastback which I bought of Work colleague. Just about ruined me trying to fix it. Bob
  6. Personally I prefer the Tiguan, l like the larger boot also, I prefer the dash but again its a matter of taste. I like the fact the radio and controls are placed higher and easier to reach. I went from a 2wd 110bhp Yeti to a 140bhp 4motion, so not comparing like for like as far as performance goes. I do miss the great fuel consumption of the Yeti but knew fuel consumption would be less and can live with it. During the year I had the Yeti I could find no fault with it. Bob
  7. Having recently gone from a Yeti to a Tiguan I can say that it is far better built. Bob
  8. I had a 110 bhp diesel and my average mpg on the computer was 58. Towing a 1200kg caravan got about 30 mpg. Wouldn't liked to tow with a 1.6. Driven 210 miles in my 140 bhp Tiguan today and averaged 54 mpg for the jou A lot's to do with how you drive. Bob
  9. It also has a lot to do with how its loaded. Some all of the Coachman caravans are on the heavy side. Bob
  10. My 110 diesel towed a 1200kg caravan no problem. I only changed it because I need a heavier car. Bob
  11. How about a 110bhp diesel , you should have plenty of power and good fuel consumption. Bob
  12. I've got someone in the Highlands who wants them, just waiting tk finalise everything. Bob
  13. They do but the Tiguan came with all weather tyres.
  14. If your looking for winter wheels for your Yeti these might be of interest. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/289608-skodavolkswagen-winter-wheels-and-tyres/
  15. For sale a set of 4 steel winter wheels and tyres. new last winter and only done about 2000 miles. The tyres are Nokian WR D3 215/60 R16 XL. The wheels are VW/Skoda 16x7 they were for my Yeti which have now sold. Looking for £400 collected from West Lothian or meet some suitable. Also a set of VW Caddy hub caps in black, £20 + post. Bob.
  16. For sale a set of new wheel nut covers 16 X standard and 4 X locking nut. £10 posted.
  17. Quite like the Tiguan dash, radio and climate are higher and easier to reach. Bob
  18. To be fair to Inch , I have dealt with them for years and never had a problem most of which was before they were taken over. Recommended them to a friend at work who was happy with the way they treated him. Could go on about the Passat I bought from Trust Wishaw which mysteriously was written off before I could collect it. There are bad stories about most garages. I'm sure Arnold Clark will not disappoint. Good luck with the new car and caravan, you getting it from Knowepark? Bob
  19. Well done, you should find the 110 bhp fine for towing. I used it to tow a coachman highlander 1200kg. The only reason I'm changing my car is it gives me the option for getting a heavier caravan in the future. Bob
  20. VW Caddy 5 stud hub caps for sale £20 + post.
  21. Great to meet you too. Should be able to recognise your car now. Bob
  22. Take you ordered it from Inch.Used them for years and had great service. Bob
