  1. Evening everyone. Sorry if this has been asked before but I’m after the VW part numbers or equivalent product for the following fluids and their quantities of known. The service manual doesn’t seem to list them as they’re ‘life long’. Cars a 2016 VRS 4x4 on 41k. - Transfer box oil - Rear differential I will be changing the Haldex fluid this week again as I do it every 10k, it’s had its DSG oil and filter at 35k and I know it’s probably not needed but I’d rather do it early to prolong its life. TIA
  2. Thank you very much! Just updated my 2016 Octy VRS 4x4 with the latest Skoda maps and this superb camera database, all works superbly with your instructions and problem solving tips.
  3. Just failed an MOT on my middle rear seat belt as its locked on for some reason. I suspect the tensioner has jammed. Does anyone know a fix or a guide on how to take the middle seat belt mech out to fix? TIA
  4. Hi guys, Just nabbed a Golf GTi mk5 Whiteline RARB for pennies but with worn poly bushes. It's a 24mm bar. Can anyone tell me where to get some rear poly bushes that will fit my Octy Mk2 VRS? I can only find 24mm front poly bushes. Do Whiteline do spare parts? TIA
  5. Oh well, got the car back, calipers were the wrong ones that ECP supplied for my car and so were the discs and Skoda said my car had 272mm rear discs on, turns out they were 286mm ones and so they supplied pads too as the were Brembo discs and pads with new red TRW calipers. All in plus an oil change with supplied Castrol FST 5w 30 I was £617 worse off :( Couple this to my wedding, it's been an expensive week!!
  6. Those are the ones, whatever they are. £18 each side. Just my luck :/

  8. Each to their own. I don't mind the shape although the K1 variant looks awesome. I've only really got the car as it was a steal, soon as I've cleaned and machine polished it it'll be up for sale as I don't need it
  9. So, car went in today to have the brakes done, left a phone number as you do. Get home, I get s phone call.... Great. Turns out a little metal bit connecting the brake line to the caliper has corroded and wasn't a stock item so 2 new ones had to be ordered from TPS which means delay :( I miss my Skoda!! :(
  10. Nice looking car! I'll post a few photos up of it once I've managed to clean and machine polish it
  11. It does have a DPF but it's done motorway miles and is fine I'm told.
  12. Just bought a bargain 2007 57 plate black Leon FR 170 off a friend with 102,000 miles, FSSH and in great nick. What are the main things to look out for on these cars and are they any good? I've not had the chance to drive it yet but I'm looking forward to the PD as I'm coming from a FL Octy TDi VRS.
  13. Well, I settled for a set of Pagid calipers from Eurocarparts today and I can hand in the old calipers and get £72 back too so a bonus! They are currently hanging up in wires drying as I painted them red and all calipers once I'm rested after marriage this week will be re painted in the new red so they all match. Bought a set of new 272mm Pagid discs and pads too, thought I might as well!
  14. What's the best place to buy rear calipers for my 2009 FL VRS TDi? My rear calipers have seized on both sides and so I either need to buy two new ones or refurb them. Does anyone know part numbers for them too? Cheers
  15. Does anyone have anymore codes that work for ECP...? A nice 35% one would be welcome
  16. Awesome!! Thanks for the photoshop but it turned out the wheels wouldn't fit :(
  17. Ok, I didn't see your reply Brad, thanks though! Well, springs arrived today, can't grumble for £80 delivered.
  18. My 335d and 330d sounded awesome for diesels, the 335d being the best by a country mile. Having had an insane amount of Jap stuff prior, is say unless you're wanting stage 2 with regards to performance gains, ie DPF & a new exhaust, chasing a better sound in a 2L diesel at great expense is pointless. Buy a 3L diesel or bigger.... Go to stage 2 and anything else noise wise is a bonus and be the first guy to have a custom made titanium exhaust on an Octy. Or buy a Jap car and buy a good exhaust. Personally, I'd just go to stage 2 and anything else is a welcome bonus but don't expect much
  19. If I had these I'd want the B12 or 14's. I'm resisting temptations to do too much, marriage, house, dog, another car (Seat Leon 170 FR TDi) all coming in the next 45 days so extra on dampers when I have ; perfectly good OEM ones sitting outside just can't happen. People did warn me life as I know it will stop once married, I think they were right lol I ask again though, adjustable drop links, camber bolts? Are they needed once on Eibach springs?
  20. I'd be tempted too, might try the Philips ones as the Euro is so weak, they'll be cheap in Germany I should think.
  21. Where did you get them from and what type are you using? Could you post a link? Cheers
  22. My project over the weekend. Your car looks awesome with the black mirrors, is your roof painted too? Or wrapped?
