Yep, ATCO is still here, watching and learning! I for one am still delighted with the 16" wheels as i live in a very rural area with lots of rough lanes and the ride improvement is very much appreciated.

Thanks Brijo - it was a teeth crunching impact, I think any road tyre would have met much the same fate!

Others know far more than I, but we took delivery in October after Skoda UK agreed to supply our Elegance model with 16" Moon Alloys in a no cost change to the standard wheels. it took a bit of persistence, but we got there in the end. There are several threads on the subject on this forum. We wanted the change for the same reason as you and have been delighted with the result (pot holes apart!). Good Luck.

My wife left Cornwall with a complete Yeti and arrived in Hampshire with the plastic trim missing from the outside rear of the right hand roof rail. I doubt she ever exceeded 60 - 65 mph too. Hopefully, that'll be covered under warranty. To compound matters, we trashed a winter tyre in a pot hole masquerading as a puddle when heading out on Valentine's Day evening. I was driving so apparently it was my fault.....

As my supplying dealer, they were OK - my only criticism being that they didn't read emails properly, denying that they had information which they'd been given up to 3 weeks before. After sales support? Zero. Three times I have emailed the guy who sold me the car (the first time was only a couple of days after delivery) asking him to quote for a winter wheel/tyre package - I have yet to receive even an acknowledgement, three months later. I've now gone elsewhere (outside the Skoda network).

If only I could find out for myself! I've been trying to get a set of Continental TS830 in 215/60 R16 and failed dismally. If anyone knows of some actually in stock (as opposed to advertised as being available) then I'd appreciate a message. Many thanks.

My commuting is in a Passat TDi and in summer, the trip computer usually indicates mid-high fifties mpg. In colder winter spells, this drops to 48-50 mpg although admittedly, my commute is much shorter at 7 miles each way. has the consumption increase coincided with a cold spell in your area?

PM sent to vegit8 for 'the list' but there's good news and there's bad news...... The bad news is that I contacted the dealer today with a view to amending the spec' slightly (build date was Week 49 the last I heard). Build date is now Week 40 - that's this week. Eeek!
