    Bulbs.

I went for these off Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00440CWDK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 And for the day running lights went for these: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-380w-w21w-super-white-xenon-effect-bulbs-t20-7440-pair/ Should arrive in the next week.
  2. BossFox - given you're in Essex like me, mind if I ask where you got the rims powder coated? Cheers
  3. How desperate are you? Desperate. The kind of desperate where you running home to have a pee, rather than stop and jump in a bush. How brass necked are you? Not brass necked at all. In fact, more likely paper necked. Are you put off by a sob story? I love a sob story. I cried at the end of Rudy. And again at the end of The Worlds Fastest Indian. How far do you want to travel? Not far. Cost of diesel is way too expensive. How desperate is the dealer? I dunno. But his name was Tony, and he wasn't Swiss.
  4. There's something for less? Tell me more (product, price, where to buy), because, yes, I have paid for it. (I wouldn't know how to deal a deck of cards, let alone deal for a car. Maybe that's something I need to go back to school for, but given the Citigo popularity, deals are (I'm guessing) thin on the ground).
  5. I know the car has to have Supagard applied inside and out, so that depends on when they have free time. Then again, I may well have heard the timings completely wrong. The fact I was getting a car before Christmas probably muddled my mind  As to why they can't spell Superguard properly is beyond me.
  6. The last few weeks I've been getting antsy, especially hearing about the possibility of waiting until end of January 2013 / beginning February 2013 to come along So I took a trip down to Motorline Skoda in Dartford today and asked the salesman for the truth. "Well Richard, the computer says Week 1, 2013 for a build date. But that's yet to be confirmed." Grrrrrrrrr. (Cue sounds of "Computer says no") So I asked the salesman what stock shows as built on their computer, but either awaiting release or is here in Blighty already. Turns out there was one ready to be released (from the docks in Germany), exactly the same as mine but minus the entertainment pack I originally ordered. (Originally ordered a Green Elegance 75, with entertainment and spare wheel). But then I thought "Hold on a minute son. Do you really need the entertainment pack? Half the time you drive with the radio off just listening to road noise and the engine." So I've bagged that instead. 4 week wait to arrive. 2 week prep. That's entertainment to my ears. :sun: And I've saved £100 to boot. Shame I have to put 6 month road tax on the Fabia. Oh well, every cloud etc...
  7. Love to help out, but given the size of the backlog of orders for the wee nipper, my picture will qualify for 2014, not 2013
  8. Week 4 next year ? Holy cow I think the dealer may be getting a visit .... And it looks like I'll have to pay for the MOT on my Fabia at the end of year. There's a big temptation to jack in it. Trouble is, the dealer mentioned about the deposit being non-refundable. Bugger.
  9. Rather they gave me a full tank of fuel. A bottle of oil suggests they left something off the checklist ....
  10. So I lost the patience game and rang the dealer today. No build date received yet, but he reckons end of September. My guess is more like mid October. So if you have the patience of Mother Teresa, amen to you brothers (and sisters), because I share your pain ...
  11. My mother always said that patience was a virtue. Yeah, right. It's been just over a month since I ordered, and I'm getting thoroughly impatient. Hurrumphh !! I don't want to pester the poor sod at Motorline in Dartford, but has anybody got a date yet for their car? Is it looking like late September is a realistic time to expect delivery? Why did Skoda have to make a car that's popular ......
  12. Thanks for all the hints and suggestions lads. Given my reason for coming down in size was saving a bit of money (no tax, lower servicing, insurance & petrol bill), I think I'll stick with the 14" for now. Of course, I may well lose the plot when finally get my hands on the wee nipper in September .... and upgrade anyway. Mind you, given I'm on the Solutions package, I'm guessing I need to keep the car as stock as possible, just in case I hand her back in 3 years time for a new one. Mmmm, decisions, decisions ....
  13. Evening all - another Citigo owner-to-be. Have wanted to downgrade for a while, certainly as I don't need the space of the Fabia, although more importantly am getting tired of the £60 fill-ups. So I've now ordered an Elegance 75PS in Green with just a spare wheel and entertainment pack . No build week yet, but I was given a rough time scale of first half of September. However, I was wondering if anyone knew of the benefits of a 14" alloy wheel over it's 15" bigger brother? Is an extra inch worth it or is it not all about size (ahem)? Is it too late to ask for the 15" factory fitted wheel or is there no gain (in terms of mpg) in doing so? Thanks for any help.
