  1. Definitely have not paid, and to be honest will not until i know this is fixed. And no they did not offer transport or anything to look after us....Dealer is just advising us that they are trying their best but is stalled due to the situation from Skoda. I have written back to Skoda on this, complaining about these timescales. But suspect they'll not care, as they haven't bothered since. I would have thought Skoda would had intervened and assisted with the part situation. I can bet that part is not in backorder for the factory that is building cars.... The issue with walking away now is the lost of the gov grant, the negotiated discount and the time taken to get the car. The dealer has actually told us if we want to reject and walk away we can do that....I was rather surprised seeing that they have already registered the car.
  2. Hi, We're now just over 3 weeks since our scheduled delivery/handover. Unfortunately, things have still not been resolved. The suggested part from Skoda still has not arrived and everything is stalled. We've been told that the suggested part is in backorder, but no ETA. The dealership has claimed to have escalated matter to the highest possible level? But in the end there is no progress. I would have though the dealership would have a direct channel with Skoda UK to deal with these unique matters, but now sense this channel doesnt exist and as I dont see theres much that is getting done to resolve this in a timely manner. In effect the dealership is unable to progress matters as Skoda have in my mind stalled the situation. We're now not really sure what else to do? Can anyone who may have experienced similar issues offer any advice or a useful contact that could unblock or progress this? Time-wise it's becoming silly, next week being 4 weeks... Cheers.
  3. I've been told that the car will be getting a new control module replaced (and not the central console screen). Supposedly it controls a number of features on the car, working in network with other core modules. No more detail than what this does actually, as they don't know the specifics. So far the control module is accessible via the removal of the glovebox. Still awaiting for confirmation on when they will get this part and then an ETA on delivery. Ofcourse that is assuming that the proposed part resolves the issue?! I'm glad we did not fall for the pay in advance! I was very specific in getting the car checked out fully until i'm happy to then transfer the monies. If I found any paint and body damage I would simply reject the car; just bad experience on bodyshop repairs esp on a brand new car. As they have registered the car, i believe they are in the difficult position as they'll make a loss if we walk away or reject. They previously asked us if we would settle the balance before Aug as next month they will be at a temp loss for the unaccounted balance of this car. I don't plan to pay a penny more until i can get visual confirmation that all is good before taking delivery is my stance. Not sure what else i can do tbh? It kinda sucks, and I appreciate its not exactly the dealerships direct fault. Some might say the dealer could have checked the car over, but it would mean have to review all the functions one by one. I can't see any dealership having to do that? I would expect for the factory to have the ability to check things in more depth before it goes out? In terms of Skoda Customer service, they were pants as they're not taking any ownership of the issue? Pushing this back on the dealer by the looks.
  4. Hi, Our new car delivery/handover last Thursday was a bit of disaster... We checked the car in and out, all was good! all the fitted options were good...we began with a tour of the features to illustrate controls etc. This is when things went wrong....and down hill πŸ™ First the voice assist that the sale tried to demo didn't do anything (i.e. voice assist button on steering was non-functional). He then tried to pair our iphone to test siri and also appleplay. None of this worked either? They tried other phones which supposedly worked on their other enyaqs. They then tried connecting the phone via usb cable, and again this didnt work either. The usbs were not even charging etc. After an hour of messing around i.e. reboots, factory resets etc. None of these features worked and eventually they got the workshop involved to investigate. In terms of online connectivity via Skoda app. I can confirm this appeared to work fine, it more of the other functions described above. At this point our delivery/handover came to complete halt, and it didn't seem like we'd be getting the car that day! The workshop ended up diagnosing a strange certificate issue relating to the usbs which may also explain the non-functioning of other related communication type features i.e. voice assist laura, applyplay etc. We had to leave the car with the garage as they now raised a ticket with Skoda tech team for further assistance. Our initial thoughts were software related which might require a re-install/re-config. A full week has now past and only today did we get the following update of actions so far across the days: β€’ Skoda technic requesting we recommission the control module this did not work. β€’ Skoda Tech requesting we reinstall and reconfigure the software in the vehicle this did not work either. β€’ Skoda Tech then told us to repeat the recommissioning of the control module after the efforts of Monday with the new software. β€’ Suggestion is to replace the central command console. This is waiting for the factory to confirm the component availability. At this point i'm rather concerned on the suggestion of replacing the central command console!? I'm guessing this is the central screen unit? But have emailed to get clarification if this is the case or if its just an internal control module that's to be replaced? Either way, my concerns is understanding what's involved in this type of repair? I would be pretty annoyed if they need to strip the internal interior of the car in a major way to get access and replace whatever components. Its a brand new car fresh from factory and naturally you would want to keep it in such way without having to tear the interior down if thats what required. However, if its simple non-invasive replacement then fair enough i.e. control module assessible via front bonnet that just needs swapped out. I just can't for the life of me understand how does a new factory car get in this kind of state? Don't they inspect, and run diagnostic checks on the entire cars electronics before they get shipped out to the dealerships for the end customer? I'm also curious if anyone has experienced this on their newly delivery Enyaqs, or are we just the unfortunate ones? As it stands, the car has been registered but we've not made any payment yet. The plan on delivery was to check everything out and on satisfaction of everything we would arrange payment on the delivery day before taking the car. Obviously this didn't happen. We're now in the situation that we still can't be sure how long things will take. At the sametime I have obvious concerns on the work involved for what should be a brand new car. The thought of major console tear down concerns me that things might not get put back in factory condition and introduce other annoyances (my key concern)... Perhaps I'm over reacting and such replacement parts suggested is not an issue, but would like to hear other opinions on this one? In the meantime, I have also contact Skoda Customer Service and advised them of the situation. I'm really unimpressed is all i can say. They just appear to act as a messenger and contact the dealership to advise on what we already know. I was expecting more from them, as the root of the cause is Skoda factory providing a duff car. Anyone have any thoughts and advice on all this? Cheers

Interesting, that's the first time i've heard of this type of self sealing tyre. Are there limitations of this? I mean if you find a nail and it sealed it, can the tyre still be used for the life of it or is it limited to so many miles such that you must change the tyre asap.
  6. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Enyaq
What do you mean by self sealing? do you mean run flats? Or does it come with a tyre repair kit?

Hi, Is there an option for a spare wheel i.e. space saver for the Enyaq? I could not see this as an option via the skoda configurator? Can anyone advise. Looking at a standard 60 iV. Cheers, Hung
  8. Hi, Is the Enyaq available in a front wheel drive configuration? Or is it only rear wheel and AWD?

Had another speed wheel sensor fitted to test, and unfortunately it didn't resolve my issue. So looks like its not the sensor at fault. Car going back in next week to review the wiring further... I guess the log that i previously had suggested its most likely some wiring/circuit issue? i.e. 00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Left (G47) 012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit Is the internal wiring easy to get access to?
  10. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Had a quick peek behind the wheel this afternoon. I assume the highlighted cable and attached sensor is the ABS sensor and corresponding wiring? The wiring itself looks intact and no obvious damage. I assume it could still be an issue with the sensor itself. Think i'll contact one or two garages for a quote. What is the expected labour/cost on the assumption its sensor replacement (i.e. Β£100-200?)
  11. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
out Thanks that good to know. I guess if the wiring is damaged? then it would certainly be a cheaper and easier fix to unplug and replace the relevant wiring loom. Will have a look at the car tomorrow in the daylight. I assume access to view the area of the wiring is still possible without having to remove the wheel etc? (front left according to the logs)
  12. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
I assume from your comment, that the wiring can be replaced as a separate part? I assumed that the ABS sensor was hardwired, so if the wiring was damaged you'd have to replace the full unit i.e. sensor with wiring. I'll try and have a good look.

Hi All, Just an update on this issue. I managed to speak to a friend who has VCDS today. We managed to plug things in to take a peek at the error faults shown. There are quite a few faults, and it seems that some I believe are related to the recent issue as per this thread; whilst others might be historical? It seems like I have a speed sensor issue on the front left. It just states "electrical fault in circuit"? Not sure if this simply translates to a faulty speed sensor that just needs replacing. Here is a summary of the all the faults found (and full details below). Could someone kindly have a scan across these, and let me know if my assumption is correct as per below? Many thanks! Did realise you had to wait hours before checking? But will keep that in mind now! In the past I've just checked it after charging or certainly within 3 hrs from charging or turning the ignition on....
  15. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Did you get the exact same codes including the PoweSteering and OpticalParking as well?
  16. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Yes I "do" have park assist as well as front/rear parking sensors. I did not realise that the park assist would use data from the wheel speed sensor. So if that's the case, it would certainly explain the relation to the other warnings i.e. a related wheel speed sensor. For the Power Steering light, as mentioned I had driven the car x2 each for about 20-30mins. This did not make the steering light go off. I have not tried doing a full lock side to side yet once startup (having found posts that this helps to reset/clear this?) I'm still not entirely clear as to how the Power Steering would have any dependency on the ABS light being on thou? Will report back once the battery is fully trickle charged and see what happens? But based on recent feedback, it does now sound like the issue is more likely a wheel sensor fault that explains all the related warnings shown. Previously I was just not aware that Park Assist/Parking Sensors or the Power Steering had any relation to the other items ABS, TPMS, Traction etc.....so was more inclined to believe the cause would have been battery only. Unfortunately I don't have VCDS, so if there's no joy after charging then the car will need to be checked into dealer etc to investigate/fix. Thanks for everyone's info..
  17. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Thanks for your input, and appreciate without the proper VCDS equipment its hard to guess the exact faults. Hopefully once the car battery has had a full charge, this might help me rule out the issue of a low battery and shall see if these faults still appear. Otherwise its suggesting something else (i.e sensor fault) which i'll need to get it into a garage for investigations.
  18. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
I agree that ABS, Traction and TPMS could all be related and linked to a single wheel speed sensor; this makes sense! However, what confuses me is how the Parking Sensors and Power Steering warning could have any link to a wheel speed sensor? These other warnings also appeared at the sametime. Hence my original question as to how these specific items could be related? I had trouble finding a multi-meter this morning to check the voltages; and could only do a primitive check using my ctek trickle charger this morning. It showed red whilst idle out of a red, amber and green (red suggesting under 12.4v?). I'm not sure that test is reliable tbh. Tried starting the car up again this morning without issue, but the lights still remain. I've started doing a full trickle charge on the battery as we speak. Once its complete, i'll re-test the car start up and give things a drive to see if these faults clear up? Assuming i've got a recharged battery, will the faults just clear or do i need to give the car a drive for a few minutes? Does anyone know?
  19. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Thanks, good to know. Will definitely give the battery a trickle recharge and see how I get on? If it resolves then I’ll look to get the battery replaced soon. If all else fails, I’ll check into the garage and take it from there.
  20. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Thanks! I found some posts that reported similar, but not identical? They seem to suggest that the faults disappeared after a drive (don't mention how long etc). Having driven the car for a period (x2 trips about 20-30mins each time), my faults are still present? I think I'll give the battery a trickle charge tomorrow. If I can successfully charge it up, I'll take it out for another drive thereafter? See if this helps resolve these faults? If successfully, then i'll know its battery related and can potentially look to get it replaced. Any thoughts and advice on this approach?
  21. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
So whilst the car has started. Are you saying that all the communications across these areas (TPMS, ABS, Parking Sensors, Traction, Steering) are dependant on the current battery state even when the car is running? So if i was to get my car battery charged back up (i.e. trickle charger which i have); and assuming that the battery does charge up to a good level. Will all these faults just resolve themselves without any action? Its rather funny that you mention that the issue is battery related. As I previous experienced a flat battery on the yeti a month or so ago. Would not start due to lack of use in lock down. I had a trickle charger which i charged it back up for 24hrs and all was well. However the charger also had a battery status check (red, amber, green) which appeared to only show amber despite charging for over 24hrs. In the end it started fine and worked without issue, so never really bothered looking at it any further. I should also say, that I had RAC out a few days ago to replace a battery on my mothers car. Whilst doing this, I asked him to check my battery on the Yeti and he actually said my battery was in good condition? Two days later (i.e. today) i experienced these issues all of sudden? What is your thoughts, do you still think my battery has caused these problems? As I mentioned before, if i charge the battery back up will it simply resolve these faults without further action? Appreciate if the battery fails again, i will get these issues again. Cheers, Hung
  22. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
Sorry I don't understand ? Can you explain how a low or faulty battery can cause these multitude of errors ? Surely if i had a bad battery issue, I would expect to get a battery fault and most likely the car won't start right?
  23. Hyeung posted a topic in Skoda Yeti
Hi, Just started the car this afternoon, and was suddenly presented with an array of errors on the maxidot? The maxidot reports the following error "Error: ABS/stabilisation control (ESC)" However, on the dash it reports the following yellow warning lights 1) ABS 2) Traction Control 3) TPMS (Tyres) ? 4) Steering ? In addition to the above dash lights, the Parking Sensor button is flashing and i get the following message on the main radio/nav screen - "Optical parking system is not available at present". The car started fine, and i can confirm that the parking sensors are no longer operational. I've given the car a drive, and all seems fine? Haven driven the car about 20mins; the car was parked for a few hours and then i started it up with the same faults again. Drove another 20mins and the faults still remain. Based on the maxidot error it would suggest that I might have a faulty wheel sensor for the ABS (not sure which one as I dont have any equipment to check). However, what confuses me is why would I also see a warning for the TPMS, Steering and for the Parking Sensors to suddenly disable? Surely none of these could be related to ABS/Stabilisation control which would suggest perhaps a faulty sensor on a given wheel? Short from going dropping the car into a garage to check. Any ideas why i would see the multitude of errors which appear unrelated? Cheers, Hung

I assume that’s something you do yourself? What charge can one expect to have the brakes striped cleaned n regreased?
  25. Hyeung replied to Hyeung's topic in Skoda Yeti
You are spot on with regards to the roller brake tests. Its a 4x4 and my usual MOT station takes the car out to do a brake test (and not use the rollers). This time around, I had the MOT carried out by the dealership that was doing the servicing etc. They have their own MOT station. So was not present and dont know what they did exactly. The incident last night (hot to touch rear driverside alloy), I had only covered about 10miles from the dealership garage to my folks for that to occur. At the time I had a tyre pressure warning go off. I wasn't sure if this was due to a possible increase in temp of the hot alloy, causing an increase in tyre pressure? I know I have one tyre that is slowly leaks after a few weeks. However, today I was unable to replicate this issue (hot rear drivers side alloy) all day long. I had driven a good 60 miles (mixed motorway and local roads). What I did notice was that rear rotors on both sides were always higher temp than the fronts; especially the rear drivers side. Note that i confirm this via my laser temp gauge. I just can't say if this was always the case in the past i.e. what is the norm. Perhaps there is a slight stickiness on the rear brakes which is what i'm seeing? But its certainly not to the extent that it's causing the entire alloy to heat up (only the hub centric rim is slightly hot). If I drive on the motorway for a period, I can confirm that the temps do drop across all sides i.e. front rotors probably around 20-30C and rear rotors 40-60C approx.. I believe the brakes front and rear were fully replaced (rotors and pads) in my last variable service 2 years ago. The calliper are still the original (so looks pretty corroded). We don't do much mileage on the car tbh (~ 5 to 6k per annual). All journeys are pretty short..
