Disable automatic retraction of boot cover on estate?
pmk76 replied to frifall's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Hi I have MY2011 Skoda superb and it has the option in the maxidot display. Paul -
I was 36 and SWMBO 31, two years ago when we bought the superb combi to cart around our new born son and all his stuff. We never had any comments that were age relegated, but did get the usual badge-snob comments along the lines of: Comment:"why did you change your audi A4 for a skoda?" My reply:"...because it is newer, bigger, better equipped and I appreciate value not the badge." Comment:"Yeah. But it's a skoda." My final response: I smile and end conversation with less knowledgeable person. Paul :-)

You can unpair any phone, but I think it needs to be connected before the option to unpair is available, unless you reset to factory settings. Although the latter option does not appear to be available on your unit from what you have said. I don't know if it is possible to disable rsap and connect via hfp - beyond my knowledge if it is possible.

Hi Sorry for late reply....been moving house. Yeah lump hammer always handy! I wish I had one this morning: my volume control was not functioning and Columbus was lagging by about 30 secs. All well now - phew ( it sorted itself out). Hope you are able to resolve your issue.
-
Having had a play with the unit today it is: setup > telephone > scroll down to factory restore factory settings. See below screen shots ...
-
-
I will check later today but think it is found via the Columbus unit by the following button presses: Phone > Settings > factory reset.

Hi I had a similar problem connecting my samsung galaxy note 3 and removing my bricked blackberry which is now encrypted as a security measure. A quick reset to factory settings for the telephone settings via the Columbus, and the pairing the new galaxy note 3 with superb's key in the ignition solved my connection issues. It may work for you to.

Dunlop sport fast response tyres due replacement
pmk76 replied to G Bain's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have Michelin pilot sport 3 on my four corners: http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/michelin-pilot-sport-3?fromTyreSelector=true&brand=skoda&selectorMode=byCar&model=superb%20estate%20dsg&range=superb&engine=2.0%20tdi%20170&year=2008&fromTyreSegment=1&carId=4W167113&dimensionId=pilot-sport-3-03064-322584-49583&selectedDimension=225%2F40%20R18%2092ZR(Y)%20XL Had them for about 8 months and think they are better than OEM conti sports contact 2, in terms of noise and grip. -
I'd second jakeblade's comment. Had my van style ones for ~12 months now and think they are great value...and easily removable.

Speak to GP...it depends what's wrong with the knob ;-)
-
I stand corrected... :-)

I don't think you can have the fogs on instead (my old A4 did that). However, if you turn the light selector knob away from "auto" to off or dipped beam the coming home light will not come on. My car is 3 years old now and there are no problems. I don't think there is an issue effecting bulb life as you'd more than likely be driving of with the lights on in any case, if they are in the auto mode in the first instance.

Can I ask how much it cost you?
-
Good man, enjoy your car!
-
Looks very good.
-
OP asked for photos of estate with mudflaps...which is what I've done.
-
This is my estate with mudflaps. I think they look good on the car, but to be honest I don't notice them on a regular basis. Paul

This did not work on my MY11 superb combi. I will endeavour to see if there is another way to do this after I get my own VCDS. Thanks for the advice/help though. Paul

Superb Combi Electric Rear Door - Closing from inside the cabin

Gents Thanks for your advice so far. I'm hoping to meet up with someone on Sunday to add this function to my boot lid. Having read the superb combi vehicle manual, I can't see where the VCDS socket is located. I take it is located somewhere in the glovebox or passenger or driver's footwell? Paul -
Looking at various site VCDS are not cheap to purchase. Circa £230 -ouch. Are there any VCDS owners in the Aberdeen area that I could meet, and activate this function for my boot? ...alternatively I will be moving to Oxfordshire later in the year so I could meet someone in that area from December. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks.
