  1. Yes, cars are bloody expensive in Norway and Denmark, not so in Sweden. Reason is high VAT, 25% in our case, import duties, taxes and whatnot. The thing is, unloaded at port prices are lower than in most countries, so I do not think that our dealers have a higher mark up than elsewhere. Then again, there's no such thing as a free lunch. One thing I have learned during many years in sales is that when nothing happens, there's nothing to impress you, but when things go pear shaped you have an opportunity to put things right, and if you do it for free, you have a customer for life. used that trick more times than I care to remember. Per
  2. It gets better, twice I've mentioned that the rear wiper squeacks, it does its job, just making noise while doing it. Twice they replaced with a new. Every time I drop by for a chat (they're all real petrolheads) they will refill washer fluid, for free. And once a year they invite all customers, with family, for an outing with lots of fun for all, BBQ and drinks, I will bring three of our grandchildren. They're doing great business, repeat and otherwise. I'm listed for the new Vision X, if they can supply a suitable crazy colour.
  3. I received my 2016 L&K estate car two years ago, and when asked by the dealer how I liked it compared to my 2012 diesel had to admitt that I thought it was noisier. It is on 19 inch summer tyres, and the dealer immediately suggested to try on diffeerent tyres and keep the less noisy ones. I did, no cost to me. The 18 inch winter ones were OK(ish). Still at lot of road noise, and the dealer has been looking for solutions ever since, solutions that could be approved by Skoda Norway and still keep the five year guarantee. Two weeks ago they called me and asked to drop by, gave me a brand new Kodiaq, and kept my car for two days. They took it to a center specializing on noise proofing Teslas (which are a dime a dozen here in Norway). The sparyed on a noise reducing solution into the front wheel whells, measured the result, and when not happy, tore out the interior at the rear and added noise reduction mats all over. Measured the result, and it is now quieter than a 2018 model. Can't say that the weight increase makes any difference, performance wise/ All at no cost to me. Pleased with my dealer and their service? Moi? You bet! Per
  4. Tested Nokian Black today, not much difference, one suspect Skoda to have saved on soundproofing to save weight. That and the lack of cargo securing systems is annoying.....compared to Superb II. Per
  5. I am not happy with the noise from the tyres on my 280 Estate, Pirelli P7 235/40-19. Way noisier than my Superb II Estate on 225/40-18 Nokians on course tarmac. Saw my local friendly dealer today, they will change to another brand tomorrow, and keep on changing until I am happy. Anyone else having this problem with Pirellis? What tyres are you guys on, experience? I'll post the test results, eventually. Per Hmm, just realised, must update my profile.
  6. Took delivery of our Superb Estate on Tuesday, 280 hp, 4x4 L&K in Jungle Green with beige interior. Very short list of options on L&Ks here in Norway, we added: Sun roof Tow bar 19" Anthracite Phoenix wheels Spare wheel Ventilated seats Set of 18" Pegasus wheels shod with winter tyres. Standard here is Webasto petrol engine block/interior heater with remote control and timer function. So far, so happy. Per
  7. Nice one LordSnick, waiting for mine to arrive some time next month. L&K estate, but 280 petrol since I don't do too much driving. Gambled on Jungle Green, we'll see. Mine will be on NF plates and I've been pushing the dealer for a good number, 88888 if they can swing it. :p Per
  8. 610.000 NOK, etter rabatter fra dealer og importør. Bekreftet bygd uke 35, i mine klamme hender mid-september. Tror listeprisen er rundt 681.000. Velkommen til Norge. Fikk også med 18" vinterhjul og en gratis service. Fikk 275.000 i innbytte for min 2012 Superb L&K 170 diesel med 7000 mil på metaren. Per
  9. Just talked to my Skoda pusher, 280 L&K estate on order will be built week 35. Expected Vikingland mid-September. Wohoooooo. Per
  10. Hei Grannar. Per
  11. Sagalout, thanks! Had a look at both, and so far the conclusion from my extensive research is that light matters. Not that I am overly eager for autumn weather to arrive, but I wish September (and my new Superb) would arrive sooner. Per
  12. Thanks! I suppose I will just have to wait until the real thing arrives. :peek: I hope it will look more vibrant in sunlight, or I may have to do what a local taxi owner did. Taxis in our town must be silver. He wanted to have the first 280 hp Superb delivered, but only a gray demo was available. He bought it and had it covered in vinyl, silver vinyl. Per
  13. Ordered a 280 hp L&K estate in Jungle Green a month ago since I'm fed up with grays, whites and black, and since blue brings back nightmares from owning a LR Disco. Thing is I have no idea what it will look like. Humping our old 2012 Superb from Norway to Paris via Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg we did not see a single one, not even at the Skoda dealer in Celle where we spent the night. Anyone has one, and could post a picture which shows the colour as near as possible to reality? Would be much appreciated. Those I've seen on the net look all different and I don't trust the ball at our dealer. Per
