So, this actually relates to my Leon, but it’s the same as the Octavia so wondering if anyone has any idea what this plastic sounding rattle may be? Started today. It sounds like it’s coming from the left side of the engine, is this where the timing belt is? Car still drives and feels fine. I know the engine is noisy normally, but this is definitely a new sound. I sent them a message and got a really informative response, so I am considering going with them now to be honest.

I couldn’t find anything for the gearbox in their site. I’ve sent them a message to see. Fingers crossed. I notice they have dealers around the country now. Would you use them, or go direct to Racingline?

Nothing on their site for the 2.0 TDI 184 DSG box though. 😞

Hello, Where is best for remapping a 2.0 TDI 184 DSG 4X4? I'd like ECU and DSG mapping I think. I'm on the Wirral, so ideally North West, but willing to travel for the right tuner. I've spent hours googling and reading, and it appeared Shark Performance would have been the answer, but they no longer exist. Any help or experience appreciated.

As per the title, the AFS or "Bend Function" has stopped working on my car. Got in it last night, and my headlights were just pointing to the ground so could barely see anything. I reset the code with Carista and started the car again and they moved left and right, up and down so I'm sure the motor is okay, but shortly after the warning came up again. Advice much appreciated.

Well thank you Briskoda and its members. £19 part from amazon and my car is sitting at 90 again! The thermostat was fitted today and has cured my problem. The cabin is so much warmer now too. 😄

So even my local Skoda dealers won't so it now, without first diagnosing that it is that that's the problem, which of course they want to charge for the pleasure of doing. Looks like I'll have to do it myself.

The reverse lights, to help light up backing onto my drive and one of the number plate lights, has been replaced with a camera whoch has an LED to replace the original light.

Thanks, it looks like something I'd prefer a professional to do. But so many so called VAG specialists have no idea what I'm talking about. 😞

The bulb isn’t out, it’s an LED replacement that’s meant to be CANbus Friendly and show no errors.

How easy is this part to fit? Easy enough to do myself? I think mine has this problem, town driving it'll get to 90 degrees everntually, but even a 20 mile motorway blast at motorway speeds won't get the temp to 90.

Sorry, didn't see this. The camera replaces one of the number plate light holders. It has an LED in it too for the number plate. I ran it up past the window behimd the trim of the boot lid, through the rubber pipe/tube thing, then under the headlining to the C pillar, then dpwn the C pillar behind the trim and along the floor under the lip, up past the fuse box, and under/behimd the steering wheel. All totally hidden.

So yes, I have used the search function, and I'm still not 100% clear. Can bulb warnings be coded out with VCDS or something else? I'm happy to pay and travel to have this done. I just want to know if it can be.

Yes, they do.

Some of the plastic clips seem to have broken, but all the metal clips are still in place. It sounds like they clip back in, then it just falls off. Wondering if it's worth getting new metal clips?

So I removed the trim of the boot lid today to fit a reversing camera. Absolute nightmare to remove, I followed a video on youtube to do it. But now I can not get it to clip and stay back in place! Any advice or help much appreciated.

Sounds like you’ve disturbed or unplugged the connected that shows the passenger airbag on off below the head unit. It’ll just need resetting with an OBD reader. I just used an ELM OBD reader and Carista to reset mine.
