  1. Took the bungs off the bulb replacement bits then worked a hair dryer over the outer lens for about 15mins today , left another half hour hen put the bungs back looking good so far but where are the vents & what clown designed it like this
  2. Love my Oct 2015 1.6TDI SE tech that I bought Oct 2016 with 3,700 miles on the clock. Truly amazing piece of engineering & electronics but bit peeved about condensation on OSF headlamp. NSF is fine, just the misting but OSF turning into globules at base of assembly. Google suggest it's ok & not warranty replacement but that it will dry out in the summer or I can hitch up a hairdryer. Can't understand why only one unit & why it happens as obviously they are not sealed units anyway. What does a good player do & does anyone else have this annoying issue?
  3. However, I still didn't like when, on such a magnificent beast, it was like an empty beer can rattling in the door. My local garage however came up trumps on it at very meargre cost. It apparently was related to a sound baffle that had come adrfift, now re-glued 7 tied. It wasn't the simplest of jobs & perhaps wasn't made easier by the dealer's previous butchery & apparent blindness to the problem. Moral of the story, support your local trader that you know & trust & knows what he's doing. Well done B, car is a joy again
  4. Many thanks artichoke273, amazes me how folks find such detail. Looked complex so I took it to dealer who was very good. They stripped it down & it wasn't a wiring harness issue. They discovered it was the window regulator, when the window is down it's fine but when it's up it's apparently within the acceptable tolerances & just the way it sits.
  5. Anyway, I found a trx socket that removed the two screws at the bottom of the door panel but nothing budged & I fear trying to get it to budge by leverage will wreck the paintwork. What I did find however was that there is a hole below the speaker & a finger feel confirms that it's is a bit of wiring harness clunking at the bottom of door. There must be an easy way to get in at it & fix it???
  6. Thanks guys will try that when the weather gets better
  7. Front driver's side, how easy is it to remove, everything seems to be working fine but their is a clunk, like a bit of stuck on wiring harness coming adrift. All I can see is a couple of fixings at the bottom, just wnated a look to see if it was something obvious but if it's tricky I fear I leave it.
  8. Because the 1.4tTSI is truly amazing overall compared with the Octavia 1.9TDI Elegance, a great buy
  9. Very easy fit, no wheels off required & just full lock either way f or the fronts. I found it best dumping the plastic plugs for the 3rd front fixings just screwed a good galvanised self tapper through. They do make a huge difference in appearance & protection & they are fairly cheap
