To those interested, I purchased a replacement key barrel from Skoda for £72 and Vika Steering Lock for £35 - all back in place and working nicely.

I have neither diesel or paraffin, what are my chances of success with this? I’ll call some dealers on Monday then, I’d hoped to be able to order online somewhere. I can’t turn the key to the first notch, I’ve tried in vain to turn it further - I don’t know if I can drill into the lock to make get around this perhaps.

I’ve tried everything, it’s failed - I have removed the steering lock & barrel but I can’t separate them despite my best efforts. I need to replace both parts..

I'm trying to find out how/if I can get a replacement key barrel for the ignition, as mine has stuck and the key can't be turned (which seems to be common). I've found the 'TOPRAN' Steering Lock for ~£33 delivered, but how do I get the key barrel itself? When the boot lock failed on my Ford Focus I was able to buy a kit from the dealer and put the pins in to match the key myself, but I can't find a similar part for Skoda. There are various second hand 'kits' on eBay with different keys, some with a door lock - I would prefer not to go this method if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance.
