Hi i have a mk2 octavia vrs 06 plate and im after a gps stereo with the usb sd card slots etc. Could anyone direct me towards one that fits please and if i need a special fascia adaptor too. My friend has an auto pumpkin one but has a gap around the stereo face as i think he bought the golf version. Thanks.

Anyone know how to remove it? Ive looked underneath the plate and theres two screws that i cant possible get to from the outside. Thanks in advance

Do i have reprogram or reset the key etc?

Boot seems to be not opening on some occasions so assuming its the key fob battery as just replaced car battery. Any advice how to replace the key fob battery? What type does it take? And could i see any problems? Thanks

Thankyou. Ive fitted it today. Steering feels a lot lighter but still a slight groan when turning full lock with car going slowly......wondering if its the power steering pump.

Why not buy him a tamiya lunchbox or madbull etc and build it up together with him. Pm me if you want i was into rc cars for eight years (and spent a fortune in the hobby).

Hi, recently my mk2 petrol vrs tfsi has been been making a slight groaning noise whilst turning the wheels at standstill also its taking a few seconds to start up and the boot mechanism feels really slow and weak when activated with the key fob. Could all this be pointing towards a new battery? I havent any evidence of it ever having a new one. If so, are they easy to fit ie just a case of old one out and new one in or does it effect the alarm, stereo or anything else? Thank you for your time.

Ive also noticed the four locators on the engine cover the bottom left one is missing as you view it from the front. Theres a small hole should i tape it up and would it affect the cars performance if i left it?. Ive noticed the engine cover acts as a passage for air for the air filter but this seems to be more situated at the top of the engine cover where it is thickest. The engine cover seems solid still when located on the remaining three holes.

Tried to fit my new spark plugs just now.......what a surprise that it wasnt as easy as it should be. Can someone tell me please how the hell i get the wiring harness off the coil packs. Theres a clip on each one do i push it pull it......shout at it??? Please help....thanks.

Hi all I bought a mk2 2006 reg octavia vrs last week and am loving it (had a mk1 in the past too). I switched the stereo on last night to find no sound but the cd and radio were operational. When I got home I switched the ignition off and on again and the sound worked fine. I just wondered what may be causing this and could the stereo eventually pack in working? Also I was thinking of replacing the stream stereo with either a single or double din one with a usb feature. Does anyone know of a decent fair priced fascia I can get that doesnt look shoddy and also what else I will need and any problems I might and inevitably will have whilst fitting it?
