  1. X4 federal RSR tyres fitted. Transformed the car my old tyres were fairly bad in comparison though. Brakes next.
  2. Up to date at last! Great updates and bad updates. Knew nothing about the wheel coming off! What a bad day. Glad you got it back on its feet/wheels. You going to FCS at castle Combe?
  3. Around 300bhp. Only engine mod left really is FMIC without going big turbo, injectors but parts are few and far between and even second hand parts are not far of RRP. I miss the way the TT looked but prefer the way the Megane drives. Much more of a drivers car than the TT. Another pic slightly over edited
  4. Drove it snapped the gearbox mount bolt thing; Well under spec bolt to hold the gearbox up NGK Spark plugs and a remap at last. The Megane feels insanely quick and more than capable in the corners. X4 federal RSR tyres and then an overhaul of the brakes. .
  5. I should upload that GoPro vid. Sidewayzzzzz ha.

  7. Anyone that's going to castle Combe tomorrow, few people will be meeting at Cardiff gate services at 7:30am.
  8. Thanks I think. I've had two cars with the tfsi/tsi engines and both failed so I'm willing to try anything non vag.
  9. I had the Megane logged to see if it was mapped as it pulls really well but it is on a standard map. I'm not in any rush to remap either. Really good car.
  10. For those of you that remember, I previously owned a Mk2 TT Quattro. Long story short, the oil pump seized and the engine was toast. Repaired through warranty, luckily and it was part ex'd for my current car a Renault Megane RS250. When I realised the TT had to go, I started looking for something else, something non vag. I'd done Ford, namely a Mk2 Focus ST that received a proper smash from a drunk driver on Xmas eve (yes I have the best luck). Back on topic, I though about going jap and s2000 but they really held thier price very well and all of those in my bracket were high milers and knocking on 12 years old. After a good chat to my peer (NitroJosh), he mentioned that he'd once owned a Renault Megane and in his words at the time "best car I've ever owned!" After reading the reviews myself and watching countless YouTube videos (Fifth gear and autoexpress) and the Nurburgring GoPro videos, I was sold. So I started looking for a Renault Megane RS250, it had to have the cup chassis and not much else to be honest as I just wanted rid of the TT. (Cup chassis; LSD, firmer suspension, lighter and LSD) Found one, one owner, low miles and cup chassis. I wasn't sure on the blue at first but the more I look at it against the gloss black wheels and plastics it's grown on me. It's also one of only 26 blue Megane RS. Less words more pictures. TT for those that don't remember And then Prior to the TT, the Focus Merry Christmas The Megane when I collected Drove it for a bit before fitting H&R springs, midbox chop, decat, tinted headlight inserts etc. Next is prep for the Nurburgring. Pads, brake fluid, intercooler and a remap. Honestly, the Megane is incredible. It's the only car which I haven't felt the need to remap it straight away, which I put down to the LSD allowing the 250hp to be fully used. Seen some of you at the Castle Combe Spring action day.
  11. Happy to join a convoy down.
  12. They seek him here they seem him there. Sorry Jase, that payment was me and I thought I attached a note with my postal address etc.
  13. paid you Jase. Added my address in the nite section of PayPal.
  14. Love this, one of my favourites on here for sure.
  15. Bit of an update: So AITP has been and gone and it was really good. I was on the TTforum stand and it was great. Lots of ideas from looking at various cars. Anyway more pics.. Full tank and clean on the way up. Missus looking happy... 8) Entering the show. and on the stand. Just had the latest issue of audi tuner land on my doorstep. Nice surprise to see a pic of the TT in it. New wheels; And a quick arty snap. Got my rear bumper on. Makes such a difference to the rear.
  16. It's got the EA888 TSI engine. You may or may not have seen this on Instagram: [/url TTRS grill.
  17. And up to date. Next New wheels and tyres TTRS Grill Decat- I did look in to a 3" downpipe but due to the Quattro propshaft it's around £500. And some other bits along the way..... Cheers
  18. Plasti dipped the grill until I get a xenonz grill. It looks ok, at a distance. Strange stuff plasti dip. Had a Stage1 ECU and DSG remap this weekend, from the guys at Performance Engineering in Cardiff. Previously had my ST mapped and serviced there, pleased with their service so I went back. The ECU map livens things up nicely and the DSG adds full control to the driver as well as better/quicker timed shifts.
  19. Long time no update, this is taken from ttoc. Apologies if it doesn't make sense. Hello, Thought I'd start a build thread. My last Audi expierence ended in tears. Jan 2014 I bought a 2010 TFSI Audi A4, S-LINE, Black edition, Quattro my dream car. 10 days later, on my way to a meeting with work the oil pickup pipe failed, chain slipped, valves bent the works. Back to the dealership for a full refund. Understandably put off by Audi I spent a year in a Ford Focus ST MK2, took it to Stage2 320bhp. A year in my Mrs bought an Audi A1 tdi sport, the build quality compared to the Focus was incredible. I had to get back in to an Audi. At the dealership my Mrs got her A1 I noticed they had a black TT Quattro. Chat with the salesman, 1 owner full service, the deal was done I picked it up a week later. Anyway, some pics! The day I part ex'd a loud brash Focus for a more sensible and refined Audi; Full Health Check at my friends tuning company in Cardiff; Home and cleaned; Random pic; Interior, best cabin I have ever sat in; Recently lowered on AP coilovers from Awesome GTI. What fun that was. I was annoyed by the end of it so the ride height was left a bit uneven. Plans are: Sort the ride height out as I get rubbing at the rear. Remap ECU/DSG Full service Intake Exhaust Wheels Thanks for reading..
  20. Wheels were refurbed as part of the deal. Cheers Charlie!
  21. After my Focus was bumped I never really felt the same about it. It wasn't written off, it drove fine and the repair was great. I just lost the love for it. So I began the hunt for a new car, I wanted something german, petrol, 4wd and possibly DSG. Looked at R32's but the huge pat on the back from the tax man put me off, plus they all seemed to be high milers. So I Part ex'd the focus against my new car; Audi TT, 2.0tsi, Quattro, S-tronic, Red leather, 1 owner, full service. The build quality feels awesome compared to the Focus, I actually feel like I am "in a car" rather than "on a car" Plans; Xenons Tidy up the paint, previous owner must have cleaned it with a brillo pad. General tidy up, nokia phone holder removal etc stage 1 ECU and DSG map Lower Louder Wider
  22. Visited a new performance garage in Cardiff; performance engineering; where I had a full service including RS plugs and also a Vibra torque aka dogbone mount.
  23. As he'd hit my car and drove home the police would'nt breathalise him as "He could have had a drink when he got home". He did get a caution and a fine for leaving the scene. When I was *knocking* on his door at 6am christmas morning his parents called the police on me! ha. What goes around......
