  1. Im also from delhi, skoda yeti 2013, warranty expired in 2015. AC didnt cool at all during summers. first the service representative told me the compressor is fake(which is impossible unless skoda ****ed up the car themselves) and is not a genuine part, then offered free repair or 65,000rs (1k dollars) for replacement. The car was sent for free repair and he ended up replacing the compressor, dryer, o rings, some pipes and values all for free.
  2. Clutch judder, clutch vibration, clutch rumble, all in synchronisation with the engine. Like when the engine goes grgrgrgrgrgr i can feel those vibrations on the clutch pedal.
  3. I can feel the engine grunt when my foot is on the clutch pedal, its there when the car is at rest or on the move(even more while on the move as the engine revvs) and i can 'feel' a lot of vibration but it does not really rattle. This was there in the car i did TD in, its there in my car from minute one. Its not causing any problems at all but its still bothering me. I thought it was normal, but is it? Mine is a 4x4 elegance 140 TDi CR
  4. Or you may be a switching from a petrol, mine felt the same at first but once i knew tha the turbo kicks in at 1500-1750rmp its great now.

  6. Just found this http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/193095-yeti-changes-announced-at-genea-motor-show/ Since mine was august 2011 made, and these changes were applied post 30 may 2011, i guess i made a wise decision even though the electrically folding mirrors arent there even in 2012 ones?
  7. Yet is brought here as CKD units by skoda from its home country then assembled here. The dealer told me that its CKD kit made in europe in august 2011, then 90 day transit time to india, then, due to low sales was probably kept as is, then assembled sometime in may/june 2012, then as he showed me in his database, brought in the dealer yard on july 10, 2012. The discount i got was 210k INR or about 2.4k GBP (1.7k gbp limited official skoda discount for 2011 model, rest from the dealer) He even said i can see both 2012 and 2011 models in person that theres no difference at all. And yes, yeti is one of the least selling cars here. Like the yeti sells in the UK, Toyota Fortuner(toyotafortuner.in)(not available outside asia) sells in India. Yeti does like, 300 units per month in the whole country while fortuner does over 9k. And the fortuner costs like, 12-13k GBP more. But i'd any day take the yeti over fortuner (:
  8. Because a lot people watched it before you did ;p
  9. The dealer was offering me a good discount on the 2011 and i booked it(VIN shows it as of august 2011), the dealer said it does not have any difference. On googling it i found that there was an ecu software upgrade which the dealer said would be done in my yeti. My yeti will be with me in the next two days or so, i still have an option to change it from 2011 to 2012. Were there any other changes made to the yeti in 2012 model? Talking about 4x4 2.0l tdi 140ps elegance
  10. Talking about this http://www.dension.com/product/gateway-pro-bt Its simple DIY install, it says its plug and play I have heard it requires some 'coding' after install, anyone have any idea about it? Going to install it in the bolero radio.
  11. I like the old skoda emblem better, the new one too VWish
  12. I dropped plans to buy a fabia over a honda jazz just because of placement of the stalks. in fact i once recommend a friend to buy a toyota corolla altis instead of octy for the same reason and he did get the toyota. I was amazed a few years ago when i saw that even the 7 series bmw had them wrong. But for the skoda yeti, i got it myself, I resisted over an year for it but finally decided to compromise on the indicators. Here in india, 3 years ago chevrolet had specially modified the steering collumn of the Cruze to make stalks on the correct side unlike all of its other vehicles. I wish the conditions change soon, skoda modifies the rear fog light for rhd/lhd countries, even the whole orientation inside is changed, then why cant a small lever be manufactured for rhd countries? Maybe the only way for now is to get used to it or, find a substitute.
