  1. Ordered the part from ebay and the job is jobbed
  2. It appears to be. I'm wondering if it went walkies during an inspection.
  3. I think I've found it, the screw that isn't tightening is the one with the no. 7 next to it. https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/etka/skoda/sup/768/821100/ It looks like it should be screwing into an expanding nut (the bit that has the number 8 next to it)
  4. I've had a look it just goes into a rectangular shaped hole in the sill, that's why I'm wondering if something should be there.
  5. I did, I took it out then put it back in to see if it was an alignment issue.
  6. I was washing my car earlier and noticed the bottom screw of the front liner was loose where it connects to the sill. The screw won't tighten up at all, should there be a clip for it to screw into?
  7. One wrapped trim. The £50 to save my sanity is worth it 😂
  8. I've already been in talks with a local company, it may be done next week for £50.
  9. It's blooming annoying that this material is so fragile. I wonder what the dealer used to hide it? As I've only noticed it after it's first wash (no polishing). I have a feeling that the dealer will fob it off, with the "this is damage from you" line, as it's hard to prove otherwise. I will get it wrapped to cover it and stop it annoying me.
  10. Not as far as I know, or can see. I only bought it last month and I think the sneaky swines at the garage must have concealed it temporarily, as it's only since I've washed it that I've noticed it. I may just get it wrapped and chalk it up to experience.
  11. I've just noticed this on the rear driverside door trim.on my 21 plate Sportline. It's not a reflection, it's like the black paint is thin in this area and the metal is shining through. Has anyone else had similar issues with the black trims? I'm going to call the dealer on Monday about it, as there's no external damage to the area.
  12. Morning, I'm looking at swapping my Octavia vRS for a Superb Sportline Plus. I've seen one that I really like but it has a sunroof, and in true internet style I've read about the horror stories about the sunroof surround cracking. Is this really a "common" thing that should be enough for me to walk on by and wait for one that hasn't got a sunroof that suits to appear?
  13. This is the software on my MK3 pre-FL Octavia vRS. Can this software be updated?
  14. I went to drive my car this morning and the clutch pedal was clicking/creaking when I first started to depress the pedal. It seemed to go when the car had warmed up, is this a "feature" or should I pay the dealer a visit as I have an approved warranty.
  15. I've not been on this forum for a really long time, so it's probably best to say "hi" again. I'm coming back to Skoda land and saying bye to my Abarth 595, as I bought a 2016 Octavia vRS at the weekend. The wait for it to be prepped etc is going to be painful, as I am so impatient 😅
  16. Had the car serviced in January and said can you look at the squeal "again", but I was told it's fine the water pump is just noisy! Here's the sound Squeal I've tweeted skoda uk a link to it as it is bloody annoying and my local dealer doesn't seem to care.
  17. Bloody typical!! The sodding thing was quiet as a mouse today (dealer day). I've been told to video it if I am out and about or stop by with the car running.
  18. My squeal seems to be intermittent now??? I have driven a great amount of miels this week and it was only today the squealing stayed???
  19. Yup after another ride out getting upto temp, it's squealing again!! I am really miffed as I have never had these daft issues with a car before (2x Octy vRs that only had service parts). Is it a shonky parts run from the manufacturers or something else? It seems to be across the group too. A phone call to the dealer tomorrow! I wonder if 2 months from a water pump is a record
  20. Well my squeal is back!!! Bloody hell. Is there a dodgy batch of pumps?
  21. Has everyone fitted helicopter tape behind their front mudflaps to stop them rubbing the paint away and getting rust?
