Ive owned 2 vrs's spanning over 8 years, had the 2nd mapped and did a few bits to it, they were both amazing cars that never let me down but the mapped one ( R-tech stage one with miltek 200 cell sport cat and full blueflame cat back) was a fantastic car to drive with plenty of go in it! i cannot think of another car that ticks so many boxes for the money and any one that drove mine was amazed at how it went because it was a SKODA!. A lot of people Still cannot get by the badge and thats their loss, and that is also reflected in the cheap prices of what are still great cars to buy. The only reason i moved on is I've always wanted a Range Rover which i now have but will probably one day have another VRS, however it would always be a MK1 as i love everything about them.

2 owners and never been fitted lol, yeah its the TD6 (straight 6), I looked at X5's but the rangie has much better interior luxury (mines the vogue) and i prefer the overall look of it, lovely to drive and with the tuning box i'm seeing about 25-26 MPG around town and about 30-32 on a motorway run which is quite good considering it weighs 2.5 Tonnes

sorry to see this come to an end (you had my FMIC right at the start) I have gone to range rover and am loving it, not the fastest thing around but absolutley love driving it!. its going the same way as my VRS, forever buying bits for it, got a tuning box on it at the moment which makes a big difference but going back to R-tech in the near future for a re-map.

Has anyone bought/sold a mk1 VRS recently?
Jimmy C replied to petrolbloke's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
I chopped mine in about 2 months ago, 2003, 103K, remapped miltek sport cat/blue flame cat back with history up to 90k, quite tidy apart from usual stone chips etc and got £1250, it went back on his forecourt for £2300 didnt sell, Back on for £1999 and sold. -
