  1. Hello all, My cars in the garage, and the hoses from the intercooler are shot. My mechanic has asked I order the three fittings myself to save some pennies, (right angle one to the intercooler and the two behind), I desperately need the two part numbers for the two pipe fittings behind the right angle pipe. I wondered if anybody has these part numbers? any help much appreciated, thankyou
  2. Popped a new washer inside and did it work, nope! Back to the drawing board...leak is definitely coming from this valve though!
  3. thanks for the reply, seems the leak is coming from the joint on the actual washer motor, when I pulled it apart I noticed the O ring washer inside wasn't in the best shape and so i'm going to pop a new O ring on and see if that fixes the problem :-)
  4. Hi there, leaks seem rather common at the moment but I believe mine is in an area that isn't listed as being typical ( might this be a washer) or am I going to replace this part (which I do not know the name of) as you can see I barely know anything about the car but am keen to try and solve as much as I can myself with the help of the forum. any help will be much appreciated. I have attached a red arrow in the exact location of the leak, it doesn't seem to be where the pipe pushes in but rather the plastic area in front of it. thanks again, Pete
  5. Thanks very much, do these things come off on their own, because since sending it into the main dealer I know have a reservoir leak and that terminal disconnected after they had my front bumper off :-S
  6. Hi there, whilst inspecting my car to find the root cause of a water leak from the washer bottle I also found a disconnected terminal that looks to go from the bottom of the washer bottle area to the pump? I know very little about cars and just wondered if anybody knew what this terminal was for and why it may be disconnected? I have been having a lot of steering issues, the light is permanently on and the main dealer have stated it may be corroded wires but have also tried to charge me a grand for a new pump, however the pump is only a month old and another garage have inspected and stated 100 percent that I do not need a new pump, therefore I am not trusting their word and instead wondering if this terminal may be anything to do with my steering issue. I have attached a picture to help, incidentally my leak is in that area as well. any help would be very much appreciated!
  7. Nah it's literally just 'OIL' which is why i'm really confused!
  8. thanks for the quick reply anyway :-) yeh checked the oil and it was err'ing on the low side so I topped it right up but yet the warning is still there :-S
  9. ive had it just about 4 months now, it's a 53 plate so fairly mature!
  10. This is a very newbie post, but on my digital display under the speedo the word oil flashes up when I start the car with a spanner icon next to it! Now i've read up and know that it may say Oil Service etc. but there's no explanation for just the 'OIL' tag popping up, does anybody know what this means? Many thanks, Pete
  11. I've had a look at the fusible contacts and looks like the mechanics already been there as he seems to have bridged one with a strip of metal to create the contact. Still scratching my head.
