  1. Yeah they will knock it down. I think it also depends on which branch you visit. I've used both Stockport and Preston, both only knocked down 50 quid or so which was fair for what they pointed out (air-con regas was one, dint + deep scratch another) overall pretty good. But i don't think i'll accept their low price
  2. Hi TP thanks for the post. Had a couple of dealers come back to me with £7,000 p/x . WBAC is offering £7200 so not sure whats going on there. I've used WBAC twice and they've been reliable. Still privately i'd hope for 8,000
  3. Thanks Jerry. No i guess they don't care about DVD Had a look on autotrader and ebay motors, it ranges from 8 to 9k . But of a tricky one really!
  4. Hi All, I'm about ready to sell my Skoda Fabia Elegance. I have done some valuations but i'm not convinced, they differ depending who with (glass, autotrader, etc) I was wondering if i list the spec here if someone could give me an idea what this would go for private or trade in? Skoda Fabia MK2 2010> on facelift model, TDI Elegance 1.6 (105 bhp) Black climate control heated electric mirrors electric windows rear parking sensors maxidot computer display convienience locking factory fitted DRL's (the ones inside the fog light housing) 26500 miles full skoda dealer history, at 9k, 17k, last done at 26k with rear brake drums stripped and cleaned 2 owners Tax jan 31st 2014 (£20 a year) first MOT july still under skoda warranty for a about 4 months I have retrofitted: vw/skoda bluetooth kit (geniune) skoda columbus dvd satnav, sd card, 30gb hdd / LED screen model I still have the original Swing radio so can remove the columbus depending on if someone wanted it or not, reflected in the price. 5. totochups , You must go to the installation list in VCDS to enable 'Telephone' in the list for it to appear in Maxidot. If you do not have a licenced VCDS cable and software, there are some very helpful people on here who may do it for you. Have a look in the Diagnostics and VCDS forum
  6. Hi Adam, Thanks for the reply. Think the Maxidot fabia and octavia are the same. I've got the phone menu and can make calls / take calls using the wiper stalk or using the columbus itself I've done some further reading and found my BT unit (a 5K0 unit) doesn't support rSap so thats why its not working for me. :'( http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting This ross tech article has them all listed Based on the prices of some of the working units dotted Around ebay and such: 5N0-035-730-C 5N0-035-730-D 3C8-035-730-A 3C8-035-730-B 3C8-035-730-C It's probably not worth me swapping Cheers
  7. Hi all, I've read in a few places it should be possible to read incoming text/SMS on the MaxiDot display when using the OEM bluetooth module and a Columbus head unit. Does anyone know which combination of hardware/firmware is required to do this? I just can't get it working. Many thanks,
  8. Hey Gregs, Do you have projector headlamps? (round ball style rather than inward reflector cone style?) Then yes they should be fine These are canbus error free so won't cause any alarms or bulb notices

  13. There is a for sale/wanted section in briskoda, why not try your luck
  14. I got a Columbus LED unit to replace the standard 'swing' radio. The Columbus can do all of the things you want, and requires a GPS antenna (£10 or so if your columbus doesn't come supplied with one). It's a huge leap ahead of Swing. Recommended!
  15. I have an elegance 105 cr. same engine. Did You have to modify any components or was it a straight remap?? Does it help with economy or just performance?
  16. Ordered a new pair from HQ let's see what happens.
  17. I bought an identicle set from a different seller for my 2010 facelift Fabia 2 elegance and they didn't light up at all in the DRL socket. Do they only work in Monte? Or perhaps i have a duff pair? Considering buying them again from the seller you got yours from
  18. Went to the skoda dealer, picked up a cable there for £3.50 (shorter version £2.50) problem solved
  19. Hi Phil. Would that be the right side of the glovebox or left? How did you get to it? was it from underneath?
