  1. Can't say I'd even considered the C5, found this deal on an 18month lease (5.8K), I need a minimum on 12k miles a year, good spec though, Leather trim, rear camera, park assist, 180bhp Citroen C5 Aircross SUV 1.6 PureTech 180 Flair 5Dr EAT8 [Start Stop] £245.30 incl VAT monthly rentals £1471.80 incl VAT initial rental Personal contract hire Contract term : 18 months Rental profile : 6 + 17 Annual mileage : 12000
  2. I have the same spec and got it the same time, done just over 15k in mine and whilst it's nice and confortable, easy to drive etc. I can certainly agree it just feels like it's lacking something, only got 9 months left on my lease and seriously thinking about going for a smaller hatch next time, something a bit more engaging.
  3. I see the Ateca has issues also ! https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/consumers_safety/safety_products/rapex/alerts/?event=viewProduct&reference=A12/0672/19&lng=en
  4. Interestingly enough I drove a new golf 1.5 TSi DSG today, had it in individual mode (steering in Sport, engine in Normal) and it coasted, even cut the engine out completely st some points when coasting (rev counter dropped to zero), didn't have to have it in Eco mode and managed a ver impressive 64.9mpg !!!
  5. SKODA lettering on the tailgate, more like the ATECA then
  6. At least you didn't get it booked in the dealers, could have been worse
  7. When I had the auto dipping on my Octavia I found on very narrow lanes it wouldn't go into high beam, I always put this down to the general amount of light generated on dipped beam confusing the system into thinking it was lighter than it actually was, never had too much of a problem otherwise.
  8. Does this work for Whatsapp voice calls ? Everytime I try to answer one of these I end up hanging up !!
  9. On mine if I remember right when I quickly double press the phone icon on the steering wheel controls it hangs up.
  10. The Faraday pouches 100% work from my experience, can stand right next to the car and it won't open (wifes Kia, not a karoq), just does not detect the key at all, as soon as you take the key out of the pouch the mirror unfold etc.
  11. Don't have anything holding it in place, but theres nowhere for it to go, ther is no sideways movement even though there looks like there is space but is held in pretty tight once the boot floor is in place.
  12. Hi Bohmer, Not sure about the full size spare, but I got an aftermarket space saver spare and jack etc.and ordered the polystyrene side piece from Skoda but it's embossed with the SEAT name !! Fitted a treat though
  13. Short trip I would steer clear of the diesels, 1.0TSi should be OK, my wife had the 1.2 Yeti DSG (same power) and it was perfectly fine round town etc. OK on the motorway to be fair would easily cruise along at 70-75ish. SE Tech is also worth a look as you get the Sat Nav, front parking sensors and ACC all as standard.
  14. Have to agree 3rd Skoda for me and it never passes 90 not even on the hotest days (25 to 30 degrees on an exceptionally good day !)
  15. Almost 13K in just under 12 months, service not for another 5K
  16. ECO appears on the maxi dot on mine all the time when cruising at constant speed, the message '2-cylinder mode' appears dependant with what's being displayed on the maxi dot.
  17. I think it depends on whether you go for the full size spare or the space saver, also makes a difference if 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive.
  18. Only happened once when no radio, media or bluetooth at all, was some time ago and not happened again since, one of those strange gremlins. Yes dealers are quick to brush off these things
  19. Found this on the Rapex website, not sure if it's the same issue mentioned above regarding the rear seat, this specifically mentions headrests. Karoq headrest fault.pdf
  20. It's even more disconcerting when the car brakes and your not expecting it !!
  21. Ah memories, my first ever car back in 1984 (a 1972 Maxi 1750), but yes the gearboxes were problematic !! I used to have the Maxidot set on Average MPG, but there's little point it didn't influence the way I drove , just caused me to be more agitated about low figures when stuck in Birminghams rush hour traffic !! nowadays I just have it on MPH instead, much more calming !!
  22. To be hones Never thought of that, TBH I didn't know you could turn it off (why would you ?), still going to get the dealer to look at it, as I notice that even if you turn it off manually it doesn't give any indication on the Maxidot like I had after the parking brake failure warning. Might just be a glitch and never happens again (let's hope so).
  23. was at 18K oil light came on just before the service
  24. Remember my annoyance at having to buy oil to top up my Octavia just 500 miles before the service was due.
  25. Who needs to check it ? surely that's what the oil warning light is for
