just like what I had , I was doing same , messing around with interior parts to find the problem. Turned out to be top mount. Sound terrible while standard driving , any chnage in movement of the suspension made the hole front right side creek. Obviously yours is on the left. Hi guys I'm wanting a full set of standard suspension , front struts with springs , rear shocks and springs. I currently have my car on coilovers suspension with shortened drop links. I'd would be more than happy to swap these for a full set of the standard suspension in perfect working order and no money my way. Straight swap. The coilovers are I think TA TECKNICS. And are in full working order. Gods honest truth I'm just fed up of the ride. I want my comfy fabia back. Cars a fabia vrs 1.9tdi on a 54 plate. Coilovers covered roughly 7000 miles. I'll post pics on request but only if the person interested has standard suspension they are willing to swap. Obviously terms are you bring your car here for the swap as I need the standard suspension before I take the coilovers off. Would most likely be a weekend job. Obviously unless you've got a set off and ready for swapping I could take the coilovers off so the transaction would be swift. Anyways I'm in the Wakefield district wf103ep for reference. When original fitted the CD player when I turned the ignition off then pulled the key the display still displayed some information but not all. I've swapped the red and yellow wires round and fitted it again and now when I take the key out the display fully goes off and memory works as well. Does this mean it won't be taking power when the cars stood over night?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

is this 100% a fix? I fitted an aftermarket CD player other day , all looked to fit perfectly then came to the car morning after.......battery dead. Been looking All over and everyone is saying I need to swap the red and yellow wires around. thanks man , for the price I'm going to replace the other cv joint as we'll. I fitted new top mount and drop link while I had everything off. I've gathered quite the collection of spare parts in the two years I've owned her. Still got wishbones arms , console bushes , lower ball joints , track rod ends , another top mount , drop links ( 2 mondeo sets ) and my standard suspension arms and shockers just in case

Fitted brand new cv joint and boot kit with ease. The circlip was still in tact. However the metal and plastic washers were none existent. Cars running fine now. Greasy job though :-P

Yeah I can't see why not , that's my car not running for another few days. Just filled her up diesel as we'll so I'll save some fuel. Thanks guys!!!

Cv boot kits aren't that expensive , do you recommend just getting a full kit anyway? I'm not going to the local dealer for one it'll be too expensive. I can get a kit for 27 quidish. I just hope that clip is included!!!

So will the dealer supply these mate? If so that's great , my cousin works for skoda! As it stands the cars just sat on drive. I was hoping doing research would help me find the size but your right , I need to get the old clip out a measure it. Thank you . However I'm not happy about this!!! This is the 4 month running something has gone wrong with the car , top mounts went , drop links went , it's all coming at once!!! I know it's all general wear and tear but it's still stressful :(

hi guys my passenger side driveshaft has popped out on the wheel side ( wheel hub side ) the shaft goes in but pops back out. I'm lead to believe the circlip has snapped so need it replacing ASAP. Do you guys know of the size circlip I need?? I can get these free just need a size so I can crack on with it. Thanks

Hi guys , I've not been on here for a while but rest assured I'm going to make an underlined effort to be a frequent user. We'll the fabia is still going strong. Had a few clutch issues a while back and it's not slipped since. Replaced a top mount on front right , new drop links. Just fitted brand new brakes and pads to her as we'll. next month I'll purchasing the miltek downpipe and decat to match the rest of the miltek system. Other than that it's all good oil change coming up I'm currently really happy with the car , becoming familiar with the suspension system having replaced a lot of it myself but yeah hope you like the pics guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Admittedly putting my foot down to over take was pretty stupid cause I didn't leave enough contact. But needless to say I've learnt my lesson. I really can't afford to get it replaced as of yet so will driving the car steady ( normal ) let it last a while? Oh and what is dmf?

Hi guys I was a long drive back from Trax yesterday , after about 3 hours of driving I put my down In 6th at 60mph to overtake a wagon and the clutch slipped revs went up etc. I let off the gas as soon as I realised. Then tested it in 5 and the same happened. But not any other gear. Just wondered if it might have something to do with the clutch being so hot because of the long drive. And also when should I get it replaced?
