Bought this off here a few months ago and never got the chance to fit it so its going back up for sale.. this is the std VRS RARB, still in the box it arrived to me in... looking for £50 which is what i paid (inc postage) also have a pair of brand new Fabi rear bottom out resistor / bump stops to get rid off for £12 cheers!

they should actually sit a little bit lowerat the front than rated.. if thats what you want then its up to you i guess

hi mate, sorry didnt get notified about your post... you will need to check your cars max loading.. it should be on a plate on the passenger side door pillar and look like this http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e122/jrappai/Da%20Car/vRS/2F450C0C-orig.jpg the 1 and 2 marked numbers are front and rear loading mine is a 1.9 and is 1050kg, so i would expect yours to be less. so should be fine with these springs

I have got a set of brand new H&R lowering springs, bought the wrong weight for my car... so looking to sell them so i can get the right ones.. they are for any Octavia mk2 upto 1020KG max front axle load (will also fit other cars of the same platform) they are H/R29261-1 these are a 30mm drop over standard (so less on the VRS) looking for £100 for them shipped or collected from teesside area cheers.

been looking at ordering some new discs and pads for my 2008 octavia estate PD105 but there seems to be several sizes available when i put my reg in.. i am pretty sure they are 253x10mm solid discs.. but it would be nice if there was somewhere that actually specified not just gave half a dozen variants.. just wondering if such a thing exists? cheers!

Hi, I have an 2008 Octavia Ambiente with the Stream Mp3 + boot cd changer and the std (basic) dashbaord display and steering wheel.. My first and most important change i want to make it to be able to have bluetooth into the head unit for music playback, this can be an addon or an upgraded radio.. 2nd is if possible to include DAB in that upgrade as well the other part of my upgrades is possibly changing to maxidot dash.. tho cant decide if its worth it without steering wheel controls.. which then also leads to possibly getting a new steering wheel.. which i expect to be pricey! I tried to find a list of the head units available to see if any came with bt as std.. but it seems to be an addon option for most cars and not a std part of the radio.. I've beeing going round in circles for days trying to find something and all i have found is a Xcarlink device but at £130 or £80 for a Chinese copy.. i was wondering if a complete radio might be a better option

just as a follow up.. ironically the day i go to the garage the noise stops.. but had a chat with the mechanic about it and the half clutch wobble' and he agreed with my thoughts that it was likely to be the dual mass flywheel.. unfortunately its not a cheap or easy job so it will keep going til its broke or too bad to drive lol!

hi! yes the noise is there all the time, mostly when coming off the clutch or when light on-off the accellerator. there are no other noticeable effects atm. howver the car also feels very slightly more 'juddery' (sorry trying to use best description lol) when pulling away slowly in 1st gear thanks. going down to a friends garage this afternoon, hopefully he will be able to ID the noise..

Hi, i am new on here i have an 2008 octavia pd tdi 1.9 105 5 speed. I have recently (today) noticed that there is a stange sound upon initial engine throttle when touching the accellerator and the first initial 'bite' when the engine responds (fly by wire) i get a breif 'chhh' like sound it only occours in gear without the clutch pressed, but does do it on all but the gentle'est gear changes i am concerned this may be the dual mass flywheel or the clutch? tho i cannot seem to enduce the noise any longer than the breif 1 second chh.. not sure if i am asking in the right place, and searching / googling problems like this is tricky! any ideas / help would be great cheers Andy.
