  1. I'll be ordering the Golf R Combi springs for my Octy VRS estate. As the estate has the capability to hold more load due to the boot size so the springs have to be a little harder.
  2. Welcome to the forum...I recognise this :')
  3. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/123705-fabia-vrs-starter-motor-the-wire-of-death/ Going to follow this see if thats my problem sounds about right! Thanks again.
  4. Guys, Ive owned my Fabia VRS SE since september last year, not had a single problem until now. Its like this... go and get in the car shut the door, seat belt on then put the key in to start her up turn the key all the way around and nothing... no starter motor firing. But i get all the dash lights on inlcuding the glow plug light so in know there is ignition power. But again nothing from the starter motor. I did abit of a read up and noticed the PD130's have trouble with a Relay 109... so i went out and bought one hoping this would fix the problem. stripped off the lower dash to get to the relays and where relay 109 should be there was a relay 53 so i didnt want to go and swap that as it didnt seem right. Whilst doing this i went to disconnect the battery and the negative was loose so i tightened that up and it didnt do it for a couple of days. Its now back with avengence. To get the car started i have to leave my door open then put the key in turn it all the way around and slam my door shut and it will kick into life. This makes me think its a dodgy connection or another relay thats on its way out. Has anyone else had this problem and can shed any light on it? Oh and to add VAGCOM throws up no errors.
  5. Thanks, yeah I want to but unfortunatley my shifts dont fall right for it so ill be at work =/ but hopefully i will make it at somepoint!
  6. Sounds like my unit, my other motors are in there then theres my mates MK1 Caddy and his Golf G60 Rallye, then my mate with his Escort RS turbo, Mitsubishi GTO Twin-Turbo, Seirra 2 Door Cosworth then the other mate i share it with and his beetle and a Escort XR3i Cab. So yeah pretty piled up!

  8. Hi all, Going to pick up my Skoda Fabia VRS Special Edition this friday! Never owned a skoda before so im a virgin in that respect! But im a big VAG enthusiast currently own a Polo 6n with a 1.8T S3 engine in it that i built all myself, Corrado VR6, MK1 VW Caddy Pick up that im restoring and a MK3 Polo GT which i will be selling once i get the Fabia. I've only just turned 21 but had VW's since passing my test way back in 2008 and not to blow my own trumpit but i know my way around a car so this will definetley be looked after! The Fabia is completely standard at the moment on an 07 plate and only covered 25,000 miles so plenty of life left in the girl! Can't remember what number it is but i will update next week with pictures and the number. Already on the lookout for some coilovers, drop links and some wheels but might stop myself until January! cheers, Mattie!
