  2. yeah mine was a taxi and is a 1,9tdi at least any work needing done it has been put in and fixed am trying to find a rof rack would one from a superb fit??

Hi all i have just purchased a 55plate octy looks like mark 1 although every thing i look up says it should be a mark 2 but def looks like a mk1 its a bit rough round the edges but has done an impressive (to me anyway)240k any other moon mile cars out there? And also can someone clear up the model querie cheers bob

  6. Hi all my emg comes on and off and the fsult code is intermitent altenator signal. Is it a new altenator or get somone to look at the wires from it.? Any help appreciated cheers bob

  8. hi all am fittin a towbar was just wonderin if i would i need to fit a bypass relay or should i ve able to cut into the electrics??
  9. the code is altenator signal however sometimes it could go off for a week and then on for a month then maybe off again for about 10mins very intermittent any idea how to fix it????????
  10. yeah mate it was the flexi section of the cat that was gubbed . but the flexi had been taken out and welded in so whole lot had to be replaced pain in the ass
  11. hi all opinions please my car is the stone grey. it is scratched and few marks not rusty though. I like the thought though of matt black and it covers all the marks well a1nd goes on nice and flat. where as the grey is hard to feather in and match in. do you think it is worth trying again with the grey or be brave and do the whole car matt black?????
  12. Hi sorry for late reply. yeah think this car will be coming to the grave. It has full skoda history until I got it and 1 owner. now it is serviced every6k miles. At least now I have piece of mind that all that work has been done. cheers bob

Hi all thought I would share my experience of my first year as a skoda owner I have a 1.9 sdi here is a list of everything I have done 1 rear shocks 2 bodywork repaired and filled 3 new battery 4 wiring redone to power steering pump 5new clutch 6second hand abs pump and fuse 7new cat 8 new rear spring 9rear cylinders 10 rear brake shoes 11 rear drums 12 handbrake cables 13track rod ends 14 ball joints 15cv boots 16 console bushes and also a number of wear and tear items:, bulbs ; tyres and 6 new tyres due to too high millage and brake pads Hopefully the next year wont cost as much as this year
  14. Hi all just replaced my rear brake shoes and cyilenders and my abs light has come one and the code showed up as the rear left sensor. is there any fixes as the sensor was working until this point or is it a case of having to replace them ??

  16. hi all I am having to change both outer boots. is this a straight forward job its mot is on tues so will need done asap and don't have the cash to put it into the garage. So will have to do it myself any help or advice would be much appriecated thanks bob

  19. I did mine myself and didnt replace the bolts and has been fine no tattles or creeks etc
  20. Hi all was wondering what the genral opinion was for labour cost of fitting a clutch if i suply the kit? Also dose anyone have a garage or means to fit it off here would rather give my money to someone on here than any old joe blogs!!
  21. Whats the cheapest clutch available for the sdi. Super skint and its just started slippin. I'll be fittibg it myself. Nightmare!!! Cheers
