    Superchips

I've asked that question and Superchips says he doesn't think so (but that doesn't mean no obviously). They said that if Skoda does reset the ecu then Superchips will re-do it free of charge but the local agent that does it may charge for their Labour. So an element of risk then. When I get mine done it will be done after the first service due in 3 weeks.

I'll be getting mine done soon so I'll be the Guinea pig and report back. If you don't hear from me you'll know that the power increase was so great that I went into orbit.

That's interesting too - good gains on such a small engine and a cheaper alternative to the factory 75.It also means you can gave a limited edition such as a Black or Monte Carlo with a "75" engine that wasn't available as an option.
  4. I may have missed someone else posting this as I haven't been around for a while. A search didn't bring anything recent up. Last year I emailed Superchips to see if they did anything for the 60ps engine. At the time they didn't but they just emailed me to say they now do. It brings the power up to 75 but mostly before 6000rpm and also the torque to above that of the factory 75 engine. The cost £221 Inc vat which doesn't seem bad to me and worth considering.
  5. Agree - I also went from a 2012 Elegance Greentech to a Black Edition. The ride is noticeably quiter and smoother by some margin. Not sure whether it's because of the higher ride height (Greentech is lower) or what but there seem to be a few subtle differences. I nearly had second thoughts in going for a similar car again but glad I did. I'm not noticing any difference between the Black Edition economy and the Greentech either. I had a spare set of 14" alloys with winter tires which I kept (use one as a spare). I've just changed on to them for the winter and can't really notice any difference between the 14's and 15's.
  6. Yes to both - the locking wheel nut key should be in the boot and the Entertainment Pack is one of the better upgrades imo.
  7. My first Citigo had the same problem but my new Black Edition is a lot better, in fact very good. I am wondering if the headlight reflectors have been changed because I was expecting to change the bulbs as I did before but there is no need on this occasion.
  8. Agreed with you on the 6 Speaker/Entertainment Package. I've always wondered why there aren't more around with that option as it is a bargain for the money.
  9. The handover proforma clearly states ensure that the pdi report is passed to the customer. I got one with my Black Edition and my wife got one with her Yeti.
  10. Am just coming up to 600 miles in my Black Edition and the Long Term economy is 56.4 and still creeping up. Pretty damn good as I don't even try to drive economically and tend to use the Rev range up to 4500 (4000 for the first 500 miles)
  11. Aye - was considering doing the bolt covers next. If I do those it will be with plastic black spray.
  12. The original paint is like a light grey primer. As mine is/was new it's still in good condition. I just cleaned it and used Halfords generic gloss black. I thought about using their Very High Temp stuff but I'm not expecting the back drums to get particularly hot. It appears to have given a nice durable finish. If it doesn't work them I'll just rub then down and try something else. For the callipers I did use Calliper black paint. On the inner wheel arches I used the gloss acrylic black. It was only an afternoons work to do the whole lot.
  13. Agreed - that and illuminated window switches (both operable from drivers side) + a boot light and self operating parcel shelf. A few wee things that wouldn't cost the earth that really should be standard.
  14. Not so easy to see but I also sprayed the interior of the wheel arches too which looks better. The factory finish under there is more primer than topcoat (or it was on mine) and it looks much better painted properly black.
  15. Sorry just noticed the last question, but the interior is exactly the same as the SE.
  16. Here's mine with the painted wheel drums, callipers and chrome strips.
  17. Cracking little car. I'm finding mine more comfortable, quiter and a better gear selector. The gearbox doesn't seem to rattle like my 2012 Elegance used to either. One thing I have done is to paint the brake drums black and rear wheel arches plus the brake callipers - just finished it off nicely - especially the grey brake drums which look odd. The improved sound system is so worth having too. I actually prefer it to my Elegance Green Tech (75) - I've only done 400 miles but it's just as nippy and just as economical. It's nice to not have to put my foot on the Clutch to start it and I definitely don't miss the stop/start. I do miss the heated seats but I can live without them. The higher ride height gives a nicer ride and I'm wondering if the headlight reflectors have been changed as I'm sure the headlights on dip are brighter. It doesn't seem to have the same road noise in the wet from the back end - am wondering if the wheel arch coating is thicker. There are subtle changes all over and am so glad I went for another. £500 deposit - £120 a month - no interest - free servicing - what's not to like? I've also noticed that the alternator covers that were omitted from some of the earlier cars (and deemed not necessary) are now fitted on all of the new ones.
  18. Have a new Black Edition. Previous car was a 75 Elegance Green tech. Economy on new one is virtually identical to previous car 60 on a run - 50 around town. Commute down a motorway everyday - comfortable, quite and economical and the upgraded radio is well worth it.
  19. Been following this one with interest. I'm on my second Citigo now. The first one I did about 15k miles in and although I had a few creaks, I never had the Clutch click. It's too early to say with my new one as have only had it a couple of weeks. I am noticing a few subtle changes though. This new one is noticeably quiter and more refined. Gear selection (reverse) is different and more positive. My first one was good but am enjoying this one more. First one was a Greentech Elegance (75) - second one is a Black Edition (60).
  20. Just bought my second one. Looked and tried every other small car but couldn't find a better deal or anything that's as well put together for the money. Plus it's the only one that does what it says mpg wise. I ordered an SE but when it turned up it didn't have the TPM even though it only arrived end of August. Cancelled that and have now gone for a Black Edition. Equally good deal but £6 a month more for a whole lot more kit - especially the 6 speakers and it does have the TPM.
  21. Yep that's the ideal size and have look on Tire Leader website for prices. From, £30 upwards and free delivery. I've used them several times and the are good.
