Ordered mine October 15th, build date confirmed December 10th (Week 50) - I have been advised I should be looking at getting the car January 10th. Fabia vRS, Black, Dark Chrome alloys, Rear Parking sensors, Satnav display unit, MFSW with Bluetooth. To say I can't wait is an understatement..!

Ordered my new Skoda Fabia vRS yesterday. Should be a nice Christmas present to myself when it arrives.

silver1011, that FL is definately better looking..wow! What year was the FL? My girlfriend would love it if I got the Yellow car haha. Not sure if I'm man enough I'm keeping my eyes peeled for ones on autotrader, pistonheads and motor.co.uk - also in talks with local Skoda dealers to see what they have on their forecourts. Thanks for all your responses so far, it all helps.

Before I start, please note I'm a newbie to this scene and the car buying scene in general. I've had two cars up to this present moment in my life, both were inherited I guess..long story. Anyways, I'm looking into a newer car, with more style, more pedigree and more power. The MkII Octavia vRS looks mint and you don't pay the premium for badges at the moment.. Could someone please offer me some sincere advise to a first time solo buyer and about the car in question. My requirements are small: Budget: £8-10k Petrol Aux connector (i.e iPod) Multiple CD changer Low(ish) mileage (I turn my nose up at anything over 50k, I put it down to fear of the allegedly ragged) Any advice is more than welcome, I've searched through the forums for a good few pages and found it all very interesting, you guys are very passionate about these vehicles.
