  1. Just a note - AFAIK this slipping issue is only associated with the dry clutch assembly in the DSG DQ200. Other DSGs use wet clutch system and don't have this problem. Just to let you know in case you decide on another DSG in the future.
  2. The clutch was just replaced on ours this week under warranty. So far it seems like new again but time will tell if it lasts...
  3. Well I finally decided the clutch should be replaced. Even though the slipping currently isn't very noticeable it's still there. Parts are already ordered and will be replaced next month under warranty.
  4. Funny enough the clutch on our Fabia is not problematic anymore. The slipping stopped during the summer so I waited for colder months since I was sure it'll come back but no. Was just at the dealers with Octavia for annual service and they acknowledged the TPI for Fabia so if the slipping occurs again the clutch will be changed under warranty.
  5. Well funny enough the judder went away in the summer so I'm waiting if it comes back during colder months. Slipping on the other hand is still noticeable but also less than it was before the summer. Just before family vacation beginning of July I called the dealership and told them about the problem and TPI. After they found the TPI in their system it wasn't a problem anymore to change the clutch under warranty. Still I have to go there and prove it with video so basically I'm waiting for colder months when slipping might become easier to record etc... Some that already changed the clutch seem to be happy about it for now.
  6. Yes on cold starts and before everything warms up. It's funny though that sometimes when I start the car the shifts are completely smooth and I can't replicate the slipping either. Then again next time I start it everything is problematic again.
  7. Yeah looks like I'l have to go in again since I'm getting the clutch to slip now...
  8. Well I think it's happening on our Fabia as well. I've been more alert past month because of another issue with clutch / DSG combo. But yesterday I got the clutch to slip in 3rd at around 2500 rpm and again soon after in 4th at around 3000 rpm under load (3/4 throttle). There was also some smell present right after, not much though. I guess a trip back to the dealers is due soon...
  9. Got it checked out and they say it's normal. It really isn't too bad for now but will get back to them if it gets much worse. Anyone else with the same issue?
  10. Yes it's a late 2015 production model. The car had annual service just 3 months ago so I assume any SW updates should already be carried out? In regard to the TPI I'm not sure the dealer will just replace the clutch simply because "it could" slip in the future.
  11. Fabia 1.2 TSI (110 PS) DSG MY2016 with only 15k miles on the clock. Started noticing this problem a while ago but seems to be getting a bit worse. When realeasing the brake pedal without any throttle input the car sort of stutters (shakes) when setting off (for the first two seconds when it starts moving). Maybe jerky is the best word to describe it. Is this normal behaviour? It's not doing it if you press the gas pedal slightly immediately after releasing the brake pedal. Probably good to mention that the DSG doesn't have the slipping problem being discussed in the other topic...
  12. Any manual for Octavia from 2013 onwards. Doesn't matter diesel or gasoline engine. Personally never really left the engine running for a while in such cases and no problems so far. Mine is 1.4 TSI
  13. I usually turn it off for the winter time. Last year I forgot at first and after a car wash some water froze in the mirror over night. There was some cracking sound in the morning when opening the car but nothing broke. Worked normally after that.
  14. Almost did two weeks ago. Very tempting. Even though you can get it back later I decided not to at the end. Even so I'm almost certain I'll go for Tesla when the time comes to change the Fabia. Too bad its not even a year old yet...
  15. A reflector. Could be that safety light is optional in your country...
  16. Looks good only that backside is a bit off IMHO.
  17. Very similar but finally all LED type as standard. With superb you can't even opt for full rear LED lights (indicators and reverse still incandescent).
  18. Comes down to personal preference but I would never trade more space for flashy virtual dashboard. Kodiaq will be at least 20cm longer than Tiguan so a lot roomier and with bigger boot than Tiguan.
  19. Unfortunately Superb has no such option. It has pretty much the same setup as Octavia with color maxi-dot. This I know for sure since I had one over the weekend last autumn with ALL available options and it did not have any virtual cockpit or anything similar. There are rumours however that Kodiaq might have such option so you can only hope for now
