Love a nice cavalier and a mk3 Astra gsi is one of my all time fave cars!! I had the choice of getting a gsi or a rs turbo a few years back and went for the rs but do kind of think I made the wrong choice :( also nearly bought a few cavaliers along the way but they all had the crappy ecotech engines in :(

Exact same seats I had Got them for £100 I think from the scrappy sold them on when I gave the wife the furby as her and the kids would of trashed them

I've had quite a few different setups and I'd recommend decat and a small box. The 0 box system sounded awesome on boost but at idle it sounded like a jet engine and you'll get fed up with people asking if your car is ****ed!! Put a small box in now and best of both worlds, no whistling/blowing noise on idle and still got a nice bark on boost

What does it sound like with a exhaust off of a rs on it?

If it's a cdti it should have the clutch pedal switch and wiring there. Easiest way to tell is take the steering wheel surround off and see if there's 3 or 4 wires going to the indicator stalk. If it's 4 you just need the cruise control indicator stalk.

Decided to get cruise control after finding out the cdti corsas have all the wiring and clutch pedal switch fitted so only needed a indicator stalk and it turning on. Seen the stalks going for upto £50 on the bay so was well chuffed to get one for a tenner!! Went to a guy in sheffield for it turning on for £25 so all done and dusted for £35 which I thought was a bargain. Love having it on makes it such a relaxed drive on the motor way. Also did a oil and filter change and a fuel filter change over the weekend and checked it all out

I had one on but then sold it along with all my goodies when I gave it to the wife. If you want some under bonnet bling get it but I didn't think it did a thing apart from make it hard to change the air filter

I forgot you were 5 stud you had the vxr wheels on didn't you? Yeah let us know what the pads are like I might invest in some, how much are they? What is in the kit? I can get the drill rubbing pad thing then is it just the solution?

Is yours 5 stud too? I think mine comes with 280mm standard but I want to upgrade mine with meriva vxr carriers and discs and pads as my callipers will fit those carriers. There are never any merivas being broke for parts though so I really need to ring vauxhall and price the carriers up. Can't remember who he said mapped it, someone in Leeds I think but I drove a combo and astra van with same engine and it does pull a lot better. Anyway I found some pics and took one as a van. Parked up waiting to go and have windows done, last pic as a car Windows been done and name on back Then decided it needed more writing and my number on the sides so took it for that. Also tinted the rear window You can see the marks on the rear window I need to get it done professionally really. Also cleaned my drivers headlight with toothpaste as it was really cloudy. Before After Better but not perfect but for 75p it's worth doing don't know if a headlight restorer kit is worth buying??

I really haven't updated this in ages lol. Found out it has been remapped, the old owner rang my brother in law to see if he could buy it back and he asked him if it definitely was and he confirmed. To be fair it's not too bad but nowhere near as quick as the fabia. Fitted a k&n cone filter and put a irmscher twin round back box on, it's got rid of the owl noise and gives a nice "tish" from the cone filter when you change gear so I'm happy with that. The biggest update though is........ It's now a van I was going to get the metal van panels but they were £160 then I'd have to get them painted etc so instead I want to a sign writing company and had the side windows vinyl'd the same colour as the car and then had the company name and number over it and the name across the back window. The vinyl is slightly darker but not really that noticeable, tinted the back window too but need to get it done properly as there's a few creased around the edges. Put some pirellis on the front, replaced both track rod ends and had tracking done and that's about it. Oh got hid's in now but need to clean my headlights as they're cloudy. You still got a combo?

Only just seen I had replies on this. RARB is provisionally sold due to be collected on Saturday but if it doesn't go I'll look into couriers etc

Treat yourself it is nearly Xmas the RARB is a awesome bit of kit

They're good seats to be fair just don't want the Mrs getting used to the finer things of life

Up for sale are my seat surgeon leather seats. They are in very good condition, no rips or tears etc. if I'm being picky the drivers seat base isn't as tight as the others but apparently if you soak it it will tighten up but I don't dare!!! They both have the underseat boxes fitted to the fronts. The rear seat has had a car seat on with a cover underneath but the indents go when it's been out a few days but it gets used daily so has to stay in. The arm rest is NOT included mainly because it transforms the comfort and I can't be bothered swapping centre consoles etc and it's over £100 to buy so would put a big chunk on these seats. I need a set of vrs seats in exchange that need to be in good condition so no rips or tears etc. I sold my standard seats for £100 in what I would expect for good condition seats so if you're one of these that value standard seats at £200+ then I can't see us having a deal. I'm in Grantham NG31 and due to the time of year I'd suggest coming to me and we can swap them over at my brother in laws garage on a weekend so it's dry. I'd really like £300 ovno plus a set of standard vrs seats in good condition and as said I will help with the swapping over at my brother in laws garage. Very easy swap to do.

After giving the wife my fabia and me never driving it we decided to sell the mods inc leathers. Seat sport strut brace in red with a shark performance sticker on. In good condition. Whiteline rarb again in good condition, paint flaking in places but didn't bother me as you don't see it. The U bolts are slightly bent where they sit around the rear beam but didn't cause me any problems when I fitted it. All the poly bushes and bolts etc are all present and correct. The cable ties are on just to keep it all together in storage. I'm after £50ono for the strut brace and £90ono for the rarb or if you have both £125. I'm in Grantham NG31 and I really would prefer collection as I'm rammed with work and haven't got the time to sort couriers etc plus I'd sooner you see them and take them away rather than them getting damaged or bits missing by a courier. I know I'm working in Bolton on the 4th dec if that helps anyone. Not sure where else I'm working off the top of my head. Thanks

This is why I put a brand new alternator on instead of replacing the pulley as I thought it would last longer. Changed the tensioner and belt at the same time too. I'd suggest new alternator and tensioner and that should sort it if it's all fitted correctly

Took some pics of it yesterday, it's filthy but I'm off to clean it now Fitted some led sidelight bulbs to match the number plate ones, don't know wether to go hid or blue h7 bulbs?? They are projector style lights so will hid's still dazzle? Need to stikaflex my gearbox mount and fit a track rod end and put 2 new tyres on the front

I don't think you do build up a endurance. During the week I can be working anywhere in the uk and on average my closest jobs are 1 1/2hr away to upto 4-41/2 hours away then have a full day's work and then drive home and repeat that all week. Then at weekends I minibus, some weekends I've got in the bus on a Friday night and not really stopped until Sunday. I've driven to Brighton (4hrs) picked up and come back with no stops as no one wanted to stop and like someone said its not very good if you want to stop and the passengers don't. I always get tired when driving but for me keeping plenty of red bull helps, if I'm ok then great but should I feel tired having one of them helps no end. If I know I'm bussing I take 2 or 3 out with me as I can just crack one open on the move. If it's for my work I can just pull off if I've not got one on me

Does look sexy in white. Is this the one that had the orange cupra r wheels on?

The only trouble with the euro ones are that they are the horrible colour. You're best off getting a blueprint one as they are black and red and look a lot better imo
