ESP light - repair costs? Skoda contribution?
VRSka replied to barryof's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
It might be a little bit late but ... I bought my 55 reg VRS last year (just to show the age), picked up on Saturday morning from private seller in Cornwall, drove it to Herefordshire no issues whatsoever . Next Tuesday morning driving to work , floored it coming of junction and bang ESP light on. Phoned up my local mechanic , plugged in to comp and got error. Not a happy bunny but thought to try Worcester Skoda dealer for damage to my wallet . £1500 shock!!!!! But without me even asking they put paperwork through to Skoda UK and nice surprise, They've agreed to fix it free!!! based on having done 67K and full VAG group service history. -

I appreciate that people using this forum knows this topic very well and its boring for them, but as a newbie would like to raise it again for people like me. What would chip tuning / engine mapping give in my Octy vrs petrol ( 06 reg) and where in Herefordshire area would you recommend please? Thank you for your patience in advance!!!

Hi The car from first post is on Polish Reg number. So i went on Polish online shoping webside (equivalent of ebay) and found below : http://allegro.pl/lampy-angel-eyes-ccfl-dayline-skoda-octavia-04-08r-i2753887610.html Advert says they road legal as well and 999zl is around £200. Regards

I've been through this same scenario very recently and went " cowboy" way and fitted H&R -35mm springs on OEM dampers and so far no problems. Quality of ride improved but wouldn't be expecting M sport type suspension by just changing springs. Body roll/ nose dive improved and car looks much better as well. As everyone mentioned on the top of your springs price you need to add label of around £150-200 with wheel alignment.

Hi All, I've just received 20mm spacers for rear wheels, unfortunately it wasn't supplied with studs . Could you please advise how long studs to I need for the spacers please?

I've done mine on my own with 3D carbon tape, it only takes around 1h with fitting and cost less then £10 . Also unlikely to paint it doesn't get as easily stone chip damaged .

Confused about lowering VRS HELP
VRSka replied to VRSka's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Some of you my like some strongly disagree but its no return now Job done H&R -35mm springs fitted . End of the story ( or maybe beginning ) Thanks everyone for the input -
Now all fitted!!! Done rear springs on my own and even for un-experience person like me J this was around 1h for both. Got front fitted by local garage £60 . Now will drive it for a few days to allow them to settle and four wheel alignment to be done (£55). Car lowered with H&R 35 mm springs J looks stunning already

I've been told is 1h per wheel plus 1h "is something went wrong" £39 per/h plus £55 wheel alignment.
-
sorry this is fitting only !!! without springs !!!

£250 for new lowering springs fitting and wheel aligament?! Does it really cost that much ?
