  1. They look great Be interesting to see if you have any damp issues or smells with them though.
  2. I think you have to pay a subscription now
  3. You realise all your photos aren't showing anymore? Due to the rip off photobucket changes?
  4. As Matt says,LOL at the torque ripping the CV boots!
  5. Fronts are,but rears require some cutting up of the rear seat back frames and rewelding. Pretty sure Alex has some for sale in half leather in the for sale section that have been converted to fit in the Fabia
  6. I asked my m8 who is a manager for Cemex and he said concrete is fully cured in 28 days, any longer than that and they have mixed it wrong.
  7. Ah that's a bummer Did they use a concrete company for it,or mixed it there selves? Base looks pretty thick,do you think you painted it to soon?
  8. You best drop Samco (and every other manufacturer ) a email and tell them the good news!
  9. Did they say why it's only made that power,or what's restricting it? As D e r v t e c h have reckoned they got 296bhp iirc from an ibiza on a standard eng/injectors with a 2260
  10. Sorry Rich Two pics attached of silicone pipe that's just come off a V8 Westfield, the new owner was complaining of a bad petrol smell and found these silicone pipes had been fitted by the original owner(probably told by the seller they were safe for fuel use, ring any bells?)and were letting fuel bleed out threw the silicone. You can see discolouration where the fuel is coming threw the silicone.
  11. You really are wasting your time! Who will take a bloke that sells reconned turbos word over the manufacturer of the silicone pipes advice on what's safe?
  12. OMFG don't call his car lemon yellow! He will hunt you down and disembowel you
  13. Westfields have a good forum and have lots of regional meets once a month. The last remaining kit car show is coming up at Stoneleigh show ground on the next bank holiday weekend, the Sunday is the better day if you want a nosey
  14. The red one in the pic above is a Westfield, a MegaS2000 so it's got a Honda S2000 engine and box. They are a really enjoyable toy. Especially when you get days off on the week as the roads are so much quieter than at weekends. Performance levels are awesome,as they are circa 500kg power to weight ratio is massive. And as a bonus they are cheap to have sat in the garage, mines £150 fully comp insurance for 3000 miles a year, and because it's 998cc it's the cheaper PLG tax which was circa £140 a year
  15. Kit car is the best of both worlds,Yamaha R1 engine so you get the 12k revs and sequential gear change ,but you can't fall off it!
  16. Looks a spot on size tbf If you want a 'toy' car to put in there you want a kit car That's if you enjoy a car you really need to drive properly and feel part of the car
  17. Boost pipes look really good I think I would be doing the inlet manifold black to match though Ref the non starting, plug vcds in would be my next suggestion
  18. I've sold my car so can't look! But got a feeling you might be better off with a 90 degree bend, but not 100% sure! Lofty off here has a engine on a stand currently, so he should be able to give you a good idea, apart from the fact his is on a tubular manifold.
  19. I think you should add a disclaimer to that last post, 'More shiny pics soon if I am still alive'
  20. You really don't need to worry about heat soak into the TIP/inlet on a turbocharged car What does the turbo do to the air when it compresses it? It gets heated massively, hence the intercooler after the turbo. So any mods/heat shields etc to try and cool the air from the air filter etc are a waste of time as the temp the turbo will heat the compressed air to is massive anyway.
  21. That is flourosilicone lined pipe, not normal air/water silicone pipe(which I suspect is what is supplied in xmans return kit) But it still states; Samco Fuel And Oil hose is specially manufactured with a fluorosilicone liner which allows the hose to resist short term contact with oil and petrol fluids, and permanent contact from their vapours, making them ideal for oil or fuel filler neck assemblies or oil breather plumbing. Note: This hose type is not suitable for permanent fuel or oil transfer (fuel or oil lines), or immersion in fuel or oil.
  22. You can leave it in there for years if you want,I will still take the manufacturers advice over your half arsed experiment whatever! So don't you think if silicone pipe was safe to use for oil and fuels samco etc would advertise it as so? Why would they do thereselves out of sales if it was safe to use?
  23. Oh well I suppose the manufacturers of these silicone pipes have less knowledge than XMan by the sounds of it
