  1. Hi Has anyone had a problem with a failed ECU on a Fabia with 105 TDI CR 105 PS engine. Mine failed today with a complete loss of power and the Glow Plug and Engine Management warning lights showing. The engine would run but not with regular rpm. Called out Skoda Recovery who, to their credit, were very good. The technician diagnosed the fault as requiring a new ECU. Being collected tomorrow morning for repair. I wondered if this is a known fault or I am just unlucky. Would appreciate a post from any other owners who have had this problem. Car is a 2012 model with 6500 miles on the clock, so far it hasn't missed a beat so this is a disappointment. Thanks in advance. Regards
  2. Have new Fabia SE Plus with 1.6 105 bhp diesel. Done just over 1200 miles since new but am wondering about running temperatures. From cold it is taking about 5/6 miles open road running to reach working temperature. This is not a problem but just causing me to wonder if it is normal. Anyone out there with similar concerns? Thanks for your time.
  3. Hi Folks Joined the forum as I am about to venture into the Skoda world for the first time. Planning to buy a Fabia TDI (105) SE Plus early next year to replace my Clio. Having read some of the topics I thought who better to give advice than the people that are already driving a Fabia. Using the Skoda configuration programme created the following: SE Plus Hatch with: Elba 16" alloys Front foglights Maxi-dot trip computer Space saver spare wheel I wanted to include the Amundsen Satnav but programme would not allow it (will speak to dealer) If anyone has any views or advice on recommended additional options I would appreciate their comments. All the mags and reviews are very upbeat about Skoda so I am looking forward to joining the family! Thanks for your time SteveH
