  1. I have parrot system in my company car and I am not impressed with it at all, sound quality isn't great and I don't like the display unit that is stuck to the dash as I think that looks messy my advice would be to go for a head unit with built in bluetooth built in, but make sure the head unit has a external microphone this is the one I have fitted in my fabia: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-deh6400bt-car-cd-mp3-bluetooth-stereo-usb-aux-ipod-iphone-sd-p-34360.html
  2. Picked mine up today and it's so much better! £80 labour and £40 for alglinment. And I also had the arb, arb bushes and droplinks replaced
  3. the rear bushes in that first set are mayle-ha which are German and come with a 4 year warranty: http://www.meyle.com/EN/Spare-parts/MEYLE-HD.html those are the ones I went for as the original OEM parts seem to be the problem (They have changed their design since but mayle still claim to be better and you don't get a 4 year grantee on OEM parts) and A-Z Motor factors LTD (who own that ebay page) are on the Mayle-HD UK distributors list and when they came the bushes looked good quality and was in branded packaging so I am pretty sure they are not 'Chinese knock off's' I did my checks as I naturally don't trust anyone. as for the wishbones I had Look at them before I took them to the garage with my car for fitting and they look just the same as the ones that are already on the car. I could have took it to ricci concept (VAG specialist in hull) but just to replace the rear bushes with OEM parts they wanted to charge 2X more that what I am paying in total and I have replaced the lot. just hope the same dosen't happen to you that happened to stevenh
  4. exactly why I'm getting the whole lot done at once
  5. looking at doing mine this weekend so thanks for that advice
  6. yea it was only really the rear bush that needed changing on mine but thought might as well do the lot rather than leave the rest to chance as it would mean more labour if the front bushes or ball joints went, plus makes the job 'easier' for the garage to just change the lot
  7. here is the power flex one from the same seller: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-VW-POLO-FOX-SKODA-FABIA-LOWER-WISHBONE-ARM-and-REAR-BUSH-POWERFLEX-PFF85-602-/150821607021?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item231dab166d
  8. just one per side, I have just had the same problem and am changing the lot: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150842945622?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648
  9. just ordered this ready to do my service: http://www.powerenhancer.co.uk/product.php/262/bg-diesel-engine-service-pack
  10. BG 44k (same for desiel is bg 244) is the stuff I used in my FTO, with redex never really felt any difference but I swear by the BG products
  11. yes well I was just told I needed a new ARB as it was missing the plastic bits that stopped lateral movement. those lateral locks would do the exact same jobs as the new metal lateral stoppers on my new ARB so it would have probably been cheaper to get a set of them but I didn't know that also being a SDI mine has a 18mm ARB but yea if you get this fault yourself just do what fabdavrav did and fit locks at a cost of £22 http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=73097
  12. Delt with their parts department recently getting a new ARB for my Fabia, they where very helpful with my many questions and got the part within a couple of days.
  13. just to get back to you on this, on the new arb I got from Skoda (cost £64) and instead of having the old plastic parts the new bar has metal stoppers, same principle of them whiteline locks just welded to the bar. currently at my usual garage to get all the new bits fitted, so I spent £161 replacing everything that could 'go' so as long as the labour comes in at less than £359 (which it will by about £200) then its cheaper than that rip off VAG specialist
  14. should I get a new set of drop links too?
  15. just rang dealers and part is £52 + VAT so got it ordered also ordered 2 whole wishbones with bushes as the rear bushes on both are bad. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...ME:L:OC:GB:3160 my usual garage are doing the work for me so we will see as the full job parts, labour and VAT would have come to £520 at this other garage who are a VAG specialist pars have cost me £117 ish (and they was only replacing the bushes not the whole arms) so as long as labour and 4wheel alignment come to less than £403 inc VAT i'm a winner
  16. they have quoted £250 + vat so main dealer is who i need to talk to for parts?
  17. yea that helps, thanks! know where I can get the parts? the garage want to charge me £50 + vat per hour labour so would rather get the parts and take it somewhere else
  18. just been to a garage to ask about a knocking coming from my fabia sdi the garage said i needed a new up rated anti roll bar and some thing about the sleeve wearing away and that is why it is rattling This sound right? he made it sound like a common fault
  19. indeed but it's only to tie me over for a while then I will be looking for something faster and the missus can have this beast
  20. That is true but I put that on after and Hi :-)
